Hi I am Steven, I have been mostly Lurking.
Anyway I am a newbie rider. I grew up behind a HD Dealer and have had the bug for years. I finally bought an 05 SEFB in red last March. I had to have a buddy ride it home for me. Good way to start huh!! LOL. I have been waiting on mods so I can research and get it all done at onceand only one dyno session. I now have a little over 2K miles on it and feeling pretty comfortable around town here.

Hiya Peeps,
Been lurking here for about 2 months now when a friend with a RK told me about this site. I started posting on the twin cam forum but decided its time to look over the whole site! Name is Jeff and I'm from Palmhell... errr, I mean Palmdale, about 40 miles north of LA.
I don't have a SVO but I do have an '06 Ultra in black cherry/ black pearl two tone, 95", stage II intake, down load, 203 cams, 6-speed trany, Rinehart true duels, PCIII, and other doo-dads to make it mine! I got it New Years weekend and have only 2K on it now, I'll get more when the weather is a bit warmer!
I also have an '03 Night Train, black on black, Forcewinder K&N intake, Hooker headers, 204 cams, and various personal doo-dads.
I figure the Night Train is a great bar hopper and for rides under 100 miles, the Ultra goes everywhere else!
 8-)

Not sure where to start so I'll just jump in. My name is Jon Gauthier I'm from Stockton, Ca. My username is Jonga for short! I want to thank J.C. for turning me onto this site. I ran into him at the easyrider show last month. We worked together around 30 years ago and hadn't seen each other since then, what a trip. Anyway, had my first harley back then, it was a 69 sporty I bought for 1700 bucks a black rat bike. 4 or 5 grand and 14 months later I had a nice bike to look at but it was still a sportser.
It had to go. Fast forward, bought a used 02 roadking in 02 with 5000 miles. I love that bike, I'm a bagger for life, for sure. Black is beautiful, so black and more chrome is mo beautiful. I put about 15000 miles on it in little over 2 years and loved every moment.
Started itching for a SERG and was hopeing the 06 SE models would include a road glide. On July 23 when they came out with new SE for 06, the ultra just didn't do it for me. But.... I kept hearing about the new street glide. So, I'm now the proud owner of a black beauty again. This time I went with a little less chrome and more beef. 95" kit , pistons, barrels, 203 cams, rhinehart tru-duals, air cleaner and racetuner before it left shop with any miles. At 1800 miles I decided I wanted more so I put performance SE heads, S&S 5/10 gear cams, barnet clutch and a PCIII. Does it ever end.... I think not. Between motor work and other access., like xm radio, color matched iner fairing, chopped tour pak and assorted other items I feel like I have created a SE street glide. After talking to J.C. I have an app. with the Dyno machine on March 15 in Sac. "thank you very much, again". Hopeing the dyno will put this baby to bed , for good, for a while....
I think I've talked way to long, so I'll end with this. I love this site, and really enjoy all the stories, information, and comeradery. I'll have a photo of my bikes to post soon, thanks again J.C.      Jonga [smiley=jalapeno.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif]

Well howdy Jonga. Your story sounds like lots of others here and you'll clearly fit in just fine. J.C. got ya, lot's of folks can say that. He's a hell of an ambassador for the site. He and others will be more than happy to spend your hard earned bucks but it sounds like your already suscepable to that. Enjoy.  [smiley=cherry.gif]

Hey John, welcome to the site!  Yea, it was great running into you at Easyriders Bike Show.  Gotta admit thow, had we not started talking, I'd never have recognized you and knew who you were.  It all kind of gradually came rolling back into the fogged up memory cells after we left that day..........and now I remember so much more of that time.

Happy to hear that Harley Davidson of Sacramento is stepping up for you.......I knew they would.  TonyS on this site is a salesman there, too.  By the way, that's where you'll want to go when you get ready to order your CVO..........MSRP and $700 set up fee.  That applies to everybody wether you bought one bike from them or ten.......been that way for a whole lotta years before it become a fad.

Oh don't worry.........you hang around here long enough you'll soon realize that you just gotta have a CVO! [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]  You can relate to OCD can't you John [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  Obsessive compulsive disorder..........sure we can! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

J.C.

Oh yea, be sure to check out the "CVO Events" forum........   http://flhrsei.org/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=event_CVO   West Coast Rally and 2006 Rally In The Rockies both I'd like to draw your attention to.

I have been lurking around with only I pipe in here and there.  Time to give up the info.  I live in New York now, lived all over.  Wish I had my ride during the 10 years I lived in California.  It is what it is!!  Have my ride now and loving it.   My first bike at age 10 was a Honda 50 Mini Trail,   [smiley=ROFLOL.gif] 3 speed, no clutch. Dirt bike, dirt bike, road bike, whatever.  Finally got mine, ’99 Heritage Softail Classic, a hand-me-down when my bro got his ’04 CVO.  It is one sweet piece of eye candy and, I love it.  With all the trails and commuting times are over.  Finally it is my time to ride just for the enjoyment of it.  The wind, the roads the FREEDOM!!  Hitting the twisties, scraping my floorboards, knowing I am pushing it to the limits.  But with safety, common sense and, courtesy in mind at all times.
