After riding from key west to so cal on a deuce i was ready for a bagger. JC invited me over from another site in late 2004. Bananas wernt out yet so i put a deposit on one at redwood hd in eureka ca. without ever seeing one. I flew up in june 05 from lax and the fun started. Stopped by JCZ house in Sac on the way home to introduce myself and thank him for the help. Still going strong with 50000 miles. Met some great new friends ( and a couple of losers- you know who you are ) Thanks again JC

I wanted the gold key.  Oh, and it came with a FREE bike cover.  :pepper:

A CVO cost less than a stock bike after you buy all the extras to make it something special and different.  I love my 2004 Screamin Eagle Electra Glide and have not found anything that I would trade it for yet :orange:

By the time I made a regular SG go like my Deuce and look as cool as my Deuce I would have the same if not more money into it.  Plus now that I bought a CVO and hang out on this site I am hooked on the CVO bikes.  I just wish I realized how cool they were before I sunk ungodly amounts of money in my bar bike.  Love the forum here.

Aparently it's because I'm an idiot now.  A guy I work with that rides a Nomad thinks I'm stupid for buying a $31k bike.  I guess it would be smarter to buy a $20k bike and spend $10k-$15k making it shine like the CVO.  Some people's children... ::)

I still can't wait to get it.   :bananarock:

:orange: As Jimmy Buffet says; "We are the people our parents warned us about"  So we buy the glitter and gold shiny things!  And then spend more on them to make them our own!  Gotta Love it! :orange:

I sold my Super Glide in '74 and really missed ridin...for 30 plus years!  So I bought a new '06 Vulcan 2K because Harleys were just too expensive :).  This really rekindled my love of riding.  Well, with less than 3 years of riding this great metric with $5K spent on comfort and chrome, 4 IBA rides, and 47K miles later, I started thinking of a more comfortable ride.  I really wanted American, and fondly remember my love/hate relationship I had with my kick-starting, aggravating, oil leaking, but very cool Super Glide, I started looking.  An Ultra Classic was a given for the comfort I was looking for but it just didn't have everything I wanted.  I made a list of extras I wanted and it really wasn't a stretch for the CVO to catch my eye.  When I saw it I knew, and from that point on it was just a matter of working out the details.  Expensive? Yep.  Worth it?  Absolutely!

I bought a 2011 cobalt & twilight blue cvo because it is beautiful & i had been craving one forever. ran across one & the wife wife said if you want it buy it so i did. We had a 2006 ultra that we had spent a fortune on & it still was not finished. We have spent a bunch on the new one but it just keeps getting better. I love it. It came stock with almost everything to start with. Wish i knew how to post a pic

I saw a 2003 SERK. What a tacky looking bike.  I just had to have it.  Have never regretted it.
