Amasing, isn'it?
Our little netbook is not as fast as one of our computers, and is slower than the other.  Much easier to look at than the Web browser on the phones.  It just makes travelling a whole lot easier and you are not tied to a particular location in the house.  Like you said, coffee on the deck is possible. 
Now, I'm not sure about throwing you...

This thing is faster and has more memory than the desk top it replaced. My old desk top was 6 years old!
I love the mobility of this notebook and will add the external hard drive for extra capacity.
I'm an easy throw.
