New Exhaust Options For 2010 CVO's
« on: October 25, 2009, 08:20:52 AM »

I thought it would be good to start a thread about the new exhaust options for the 2010 CVO's given the changes.

V&H has new Dresser Duals which look great.  I love the Stage 1 set-up from Steve at Fullsac but after the dust settles I think I'm going with the Dresser Duals and the Chrome High Output Slip Ons.  My delivery date has been moved up to Thanksgiving time and I'll post picks and a YOUTUBE clip demonstrating their sound.

Cool
Now how will you tune this? IMO the V&H fuel pack is not viable, nor am I even sure they have that for the 10 yet. There is no "download" that will work. It will require a custom tune as this is far from stock spec. and the cat is gone which changes things a lot. We all love to buy chrome and gear but with these new bikes it's a new ballgame software solution needs to be solid and researched first IMO and IME.

The fun of it all is traveling down that uncharted territory but you have to start somewhere.  I think I'm going with the SE pro tuner but realize that I'm driving up the cost.  The dyno guys at the shop I do much of my business are very comfortable with the pro tuner so be it.  I'll be sure to post everything and we'll all learn as we go.  Let the fun begin.   :)

I guess that would depend on the model.  Like the 09 SERG, the 10 SESG has the round cut out for the exhaust, calling for a 4" exhaust so I don't think the V&H Dresser Duals will work (and look right). :nixweiss:  It seems the market is even narrower for us.

Not following.  In my case, the FLHXSE with the planned Dresser Duals will be mated with the V&H High Output Slip Ons that are 4".  Am I missing something  :nixweiss:  I fell a little like Christopher Columbus  :P :o

I'll be sure to post them along with the dyno specs as soon as I get all settled.  You know, I always find a typo when I look back at my posts  ???  Maybe this one will be "typo" free.

Just got an email from Bub that says.......

JC

All of the BUB 7 Stealth True Dual systems have a 4 inch muffler body.

The regular BUB 7 True Dual systems, non EPA complaint, have 3 ½ inch muffler body.

Robert

I haven't.  Somebody has them and gave a detailed report after going through a number of other exhaust systems.  He gave a  :2vrolijk_21:

I don't have a 2010 but I am about to give the Bub Stealth mufflers a try. I have the Rineharts and I've tried all I can do about "piping" them down. I'm gonna leave the headpipes on and see if these can make me happy. I tried a 21/4 "quiet baffle" and even with wrapping, it's still way too noisey for me. I'm ok till about 3000rpm then I'm miserable with it. Jennifer at Bub Ent swears this will be the ticket and most of what I've read on here seems pretty positive. I'll give an opinion soon as I get 'em on if anyone else cares to know...

well I got 'em and put 'em on tonight and I lOVE 'em.  They are just what I was hoping for and they sound great.  At 70mph I can hear the radio as clear as day and only half volume. The bike so far runs great and I will put it to the test next week when I meet up with Boatman on the west coast of Fla.  :pineapple: :pineapple: :pineapple: :2vrolijk_21:
