Silly as it sounds, ALWAYS go back to the last thing touched when problems arise.......

I think the one I use is for the old fuel Injection System, two lines, use the rear hole when installing, I like the way these look.

Fitting cover for two lines?  That is the cover actually intended for the old Marelli bikes.  Used to be real common to see them clamped around the single line on the Delco bikes though.  Talking about this cover right?

My wife dropped her Heritage on the right side after a gas stop and as she stepped off the machine her left boot brushed against the fuel line coupling at the tank. The coupling was disturbed just enough to prevent fuel flow, but not enough to allow the line to drop off the fitting; of course the machine would not restart.

I thought that I had an issue with the bank angle sensor and I called a tow truck. We were a pile of miles from home, near Kansas City, MO. The tow truck was 50ish miles away and we decided to grab lunch at the greasy spoon next to the gas station.

After lunch I went back outside and started going over the machine, and when I placed my hand on the fuel line I heard it “click” back into place. The bike fired right up just as tow truck from Gail’s H-D pulled into the lot. The kid from Gail’s wouldn’t take a dime from me.

The next time you take a dive off of your machine and it won’t fire back up after cycling the switch, give the fuel line a little pull to see if it is still secure and in place.

Strictly for the sake of appearance I actually like the old Marelli bike's fuel fitting cover than the newer one.  The Harley version for the newer bikes is annoying to take on and off too.  Kuryakyn makes a competitive piece without the tiny blind screws to clamp it together.  Instead uses rubber bands.  Looks better (to me).  But the bands will probably break over less time than a guy would hope.

H-DMikey, while reading your thread and all the replies I again realize how valuable this site is to all of us. My guess was maybe that you forgot to plug in your O2 sensors after you reinstalled your header, but I think someone already covered that. Glad you got it going. CAHDBIKER
