Sun is going to be going down soon... I need to get moving but the twisties are very tight and the roads are damp in the corners... still having a great time!

After passing through the summit and getting back down to faster (and warmer) climate I was buzzing along and passed this tree... I had to turn around and snap a pic. Notice all the shoes hanging in there. This is on 36 about 25 miles West of I-5. I'm sure their is a story but no idea what...

Once I hit I-5 I cut over to Cal99 and headed back toward Lincoln... the sun was setting low and just HAD to snap this.

Overall a GREAT ride... 681 miles in two days. So much more to see along the way but time restraints were an issue but I WILL be headed back to these areas.

Thanks again to JC and Terrie for being such great hosts and guiding me through the Bay Area. Def a great bunch up here in Nor Cal and the scenery is second to none.

Looks like the rest of your ride was great.

I've been across that road a number of times......always 100-110 degrees.  Never took it at this time of the year.  Sorry about the snow. :nixweiss:

Chuck if you want to do the most incredable motorcycle road you'll ever ride (I know.....like we talked about, there are just so many in Nor Cal), it's Hwy. 20 from Willits, Cal. to Fort Bragg, Ca. (or vica versa).  It's approx. 35 miles of constant twisties and ups and downs.  Not a straight streatch or a level streatch all the way across.  The pavement is great, wide enough with consistent and predictable curves......a great road to grind your floor boards down. :2vrolijk_21:
