With me I have decided its is a hobby. Motorcycles are and have always been my life. I enjoy doing things to my bike to make it better IMO  :nixweiss: However I have learned that some accessories can take away from the ride or performance. I don't care how good it looks if it decreases performance its outta here    :vrolijk17: I have experienced over modifying so now I try to approach mods more carefully knowing I don't want the MAX performance. That's for the drag strip and cost allot of money going in and to maintain. I do love the feel of getting some extra torque out of my bikes cause that's what feels going from your throttle hand to the pavement. I also look forward to that next part or mod to arrive like a kid at Christmas  :orange:
I also believe Everything on the road from the factory cars and bikes alike have EPA asthma :jalapeno:
That's all I have to say about that  :soapbox:

Not part of the "sold under 1,000 mile club", with over 1 year and almost 6,000 miles and still stock engine & exhaust, but not by choice. Still adjusting budget to afford riding with new loan, insurance, and dealer "service".

Would eventually like to fill in the torque gaps with a little more rumble, maybe when I need to fully re-powder coat the engine & trans...

Mods I done on my own, detachable rear setup for rack & back rest; and swapped riser studs with higher 2008 studs. Got a service manual so hope to do my own fluid changes and get more familiar with my ride and have plenty of other ideas to make it my own. Baby steps...

Still, the ride is one of kind, even "stock"! :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

I have not been in my motor yet on my 01 SERG. I did junk the injection in favor of a carb as well as a pipe change.

My beater bike motor internally is as HD delivered it in 00. Pipes and air cleaner only, no tune!

When I need a power rush I'll take my current sport bike of choice out.  :2vrolijk_21: :orange:

When I bought mine the salesman said "when do you want to schedule your download and pipes?"  I told him if I have to spend another $1,000 to make a new Harley run right/better then why should I even buy it.  He almost chit.  I told him, in a very light hearted way, he was doing a good job of talking me out of the bike............  he just said "wow, good point".

I think they listen better these days than years before, if they want to survive in todays market they had better listen to the customer, thanks to the economy we are not "subjects / victims" anymore.
