Has anyone noticed a problem of having to much spring return tension on their throttle? I traded in a 2006 SEUC that had the dual cable throttle. The 2010 SEUC that I now have, obviously has drive by wire instead of the old cable style throttle. It seems like it has a lot of return spring tension, and after 50 miles my wrist is starting to feel it. I find myself setting the cruise control, when normally I would not. Maybe I am just getting old, but was wondering if I am the only person to notice this. Was wondering if anyone knows any way to weaken the return spring tension?
If you really want to see if there is a difference, take a small fish scale (or similar), hook a shoestring to the hook, and the other end, wrap around the grip, pull the scale and see how many #'s you get with each system.
There MAY be a problem with your new bike, or, maybe your old one (with cables) was just lighter.
I have a weaker spring in my S&S carb, just so it matches the pull on the new wireless throttle.
Or..............maybe it's like you said???
