Mapping Problems: The Saga Continues
« on: January 13, 2006, 12:06:57 PM »

My happiness when my crimson & slate came in on Dec 10th., has now turned into nothing but
aggravation. After they installed Rinehart duals & stage1 a/c, i was told the MOCO was releasing
the racing re-cal part# 34304-06 on Dec15th. now, the new release date is supposed to be
Jan25th. I explained to the dealer that the new SERT part # 32107-01D had calibration # 36
on it & was for my 2006 SE as FR8TRN had posted earlier. He said he checked that SERT as
well as a newer SERT # 32107-01E, & the calibrations only go up to #33. I just have to wait until the Jan 25th & hope the MOCO releases the new download then, or put my stock exhaust back on.Any help would be appreciated.

He's either being lazy jvall, or he may be lying to you.

Reading of all of the paint issues and mapping concerns I'd like to shed a positive light on CVO ownership. My Haze SEUC has no paint issues. It looks beautiful and gets better looking every day I own it. I also have no mapping problems. I passed on the Rinehart experience having been there and done that two years ago. The flash for my V&H Ovals went off without a hitch and I'm enjoying my ride like I never thought I would. It's giving me all of the power and excitement I hoped for plus a little more. Let's hear from everyone who the MoCo hasn't let down. I think we're in the majority......

Hey, ezrider4, don't get me wrong, I love my bike.  Right now there's no other motorcycle I'd rather have than an SEEG, or an SEU.  As you can see from the satisfaction rating on the SEEG forum, the vast majority of those on this board feel the same way.  This thread has turned into more about why the dealer and MoCo support seems so disheveled/inconsistent/uninformed concerning their own products.

By the way, what flash, exactly, did your dealer put into your '06 Haze's ECM?  No one else seems to have been able to get that '06 flash, hence this, and several other, threads.

jdracing,
Not sure the actual flash number. I had it done at Blue Springs H-D in Kansas City. I'll check with the tech later today and see if I can get you the information.

Thanks ezr.  I suspect many around here would be really interested if your dealer figured something out that other dealers haven't.  Especially jvall.

Just because a spec is posted here and accepted as correct don't mean it is( as witnessed by all the chatter about heads & spring tolerance). Start with what you learned here then get on the phone and call a couple of different harley dealers & get the facts for yourself. Once you are satisfied that you've got enough of the same answers from different dealers, run with it...............
