Was going to have my SE slipons and Air cleaner put on today. Just got off the phone with the dealer and they are telling me they have to order the cartridge for the new map. I asked if they had a SE Race Tuner. She stated they didn't carry that but would order one.  I was told again today that the SE/Air cleaner will not work. I explained it would and others have already applied it. She says they just got a Tech Bulletin stating it wouldn't. I believe she said tech bulletin 870. I think I am going to have to find me a new dealer.

Train, do you happen to know the part number of the A/C you put on your bike?  I know the Ness didn't work, but did you end up using the SE A/C part number 29440-99C on your CUSE?  Still trying to figure out why a SE back plate that works with the '05 and older (smaller) throttle bodies would also work with the '06 larger one, but a Ness wouldn't.

I just put 29773-02B SEAC on my 06 ultra and the tab says that it will not fit but Brain from Freedom Cycles said that it would and he was right it did.

Took my bike to a different dealer and they are putting it on now. When I get home I have a message from the parts guy from the first dealer wanting me to call him. He is a little late.

I'd ask to see the TB, that number doesn't fit...they tend to do Tech Bulletins in order, the last one on I can find came out in Dec '05 and it was number M-1183, the one prior to that (also in Dec '05) was M-1182, I sense a pattern here....

EDIT::::It could have come in a P&A bulletin, but the number doesn't fit there either, last one was Jan 19th, 2006 and is number PA62...
I think it was a P&A she callet it I am sure she said #870 though. I have lost all faith in that service dept there they seem lost.

Wow, the 06 model year has really been interesting so far, huh?  No downloads or flashes, paint problems, radios that don't radio.  My Dad, rest his soul, always told me not to buy ANYTHING during it's initial development run. It's funny how the older you get, the smarter your parents were.   :-?

No kidding; doesn't fit, huh?  That'll be news to serveral folks around here who are using them with the stock air cleaner cover, and apparently fitting fine.  I saw a Haze CUSE last month at our local dealer with the SE/AC and stock cover.  It fit just like my '05 does with the Ness Big Sucker.

This was probably written by some guy that has never seen the parts, and wouldn't know the difference between a adjustable wrench and a socket. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Well I've got about 1500 miles on mine now, and I just went out and checked it, still as tight as when I put it on.......well atleast the bulletin was real and the dealer wasn't lying, thats almost new.....I can feel some open space on the front area of mine, but I don't see it mattering, it is on there solid and no air is going to get around it, the top of the filter is enclosed except where the bolts are....
