Still waiting on mine.  Just saw ship date at my dealer; May 26.  No idea what number it is yet.  Enjoy the ride!

For what it's worth, I was told that once a dealer gets an actual ship date, they are given a Vehicle ID number , and should also know what number bike it is. I just got a phone call as I'm writing this post...my bike is estimated to ship 6-1-10.....3 days earlier than they thought. It's not the actual ship date, just an estimate.   Since it must be lowered front and rear, I need to make some decisions about suspension and get parts ordered.  I just ordered my new "close" corbin seat, so I could keep the heating unit, as the other brands I looked at  didn't have the heating option.
I have a question for those of you that have already picked up your BLK bikes. Is it true the inside of the saddle bags have lights so you can see inside at night?  Also, did your dealer set up your XM radio for you before you picked up the bike, or did you have to do that once you received it? Did they give you the number off the XM so you could set it prior to pick up? How's that work?
Finally, thanks to everyone for all your responses and suggestions. This site has been extremely helpful to me.

No, the saddlebags don't have lights inside. What you get is one led light on each side under the tourpak, which casts light into an opened saddlebag. Plus one led light inside the tourpak.

Cheers,

XM

I believe the xm has a 3 month trail period, the numbers you need are on the unit. you will have to set up the xm directly with xm. It's not hard to do  :2vrolijk_21:

Well if your lucky XM will give you a three month trial period but with my new 2010 Ultra they couldn't figure that out and I had a hard time undestanding the person on line so I just told them to extend my contract out another year and forget the 3 month trial period. XM is awesome until you have to get on the phone with them.

I would suggest having the dealer contact XM and have them setup the 3 month trail period because once you leave the dealer your on your own.

I second that.  It took me 45 minutes to cancel.  Here in the north there is no reason to keep it on all year when you ride for 7-8 months, if we get lucky.

I'll second that.   My wife made the call to XM..........  Had the radio ID#, the Harley promo code and called the number on the brochure that came with the bike.  The folks on the other end at XM didn't have a clue.  Finally gave up.......  It's just not worth it :nixweiss:

I don't know if they still allow motorcycles to fall under the same category as boats, but at one point they would allow bikes to order XM as a "marine" account - May to Oct.  They allow boats to have an annual subscription at a reduced rate and turn the same account off in Oct and on again in May with no extra charges.

I used to do that, but now I ride pretty much all year, so I don't bother anymore.

It maybe worth your while checking it out with them.

Just a thought.

XM allows a "seasonal suspension" of service up to 5 mos..  In spring you call them and they will reactivate without an addtional charge.  Last year I was suspended and they never shut off the service.

Not shutting it off doesn't surprise me.........  We couldn't get them to turn it on   :soapbox:

I have been on XM for the past 10 years with as many as 6 radios at one time (2 bikes, cars, mobile unit) and never had the problem some of you have had. If you have accounts the easy way to add is on the internet, canceling you do have to call in I never had a problem with there service.
