I found a paint flaw on mind around the headlight also.  Will speak with dealer today.

They would have to replace the whole fairing.

:-\ Check this out. Just return from the State HOG Event in Williams, AZ and stopped by Hacienda Harley in Scottsdale, AZ late just prior to closing up the shop. 2 employees walked out to check out the black bike and stated "we have one in the back but the GM wouldn't let sell it" Mine reply was "WHY"
They both stated we wants to run up the price $$$ after they are all gone at other dealership.....Just crazy!  :jack:

We saw #604 ? of 900 at Battlefield Harley yesterday. This place does a lot of business so I was kinda surprised that theirs hadn't been sold yet. There weren't any salesmen available to ask what they're charging for freight and prep.

Bad day yesterday (almost).............  Took the bike in for 1000 mile maintenance.  Told the Service Manager that the bike wanted to stall when acclerating from stopped position.  Asked them to check it out.  About two hours later, I get a call at work from the Service Manager and could tell immediately that the news wasn't going to be good.  She started by telling me that they were heading out to pick up the tech and the bike (broke down)  :o.  She went on to explain that the tech experienced the same stall and went on to say that the clutch blew with fluid spewing all over the bike  :o.  To which I replied...  WTF?  The news got worse when she told me that the part would need to be ordered and would take a couple days to come in  :-\.

About an hour later, the news got better.  Wasn't a blown clutch but instead a loose fitting on the clutch cable that started with a slow leak and ultimately came off completely.  Long story short, brought the bike home last night.

Check to make sure your cables are secure.

Bad day.  This time for sure  >:(.  Wife and I went out for a short (lucky) ride tonight.  Knew almost immediately something wasn't right with the clutch.  Seemed to have far too much play and not fully engaging.  Long story short..  After riding 10 miles or so, it reached the point where I couldn't get it out of first gear and the clutch wouldn't fully disengage.  Think it's blown for sure.

Called HOG 24/7 roadside assistance which we found out is BS.  Basically told us that the closest dealer (which is the dealer we purchased from) was closed so we were SOL.  So the service is really 24/7 unless the dealer is closed  :o.  Finally called the salesman that sold us the bike at home and he came out and rescued us and hauled the bike to the dealer (What Service!!!!!).

Doesn't seem right with only about 1,100 miles.  Keep an eye on your clutch and get it to the dealer just as soon as something doesn't feel right.  Would have sucked if this would have happened last Friday when we were about 120 miles from home.

Wish us luck.

Hopefully it's just the clutch needing to be bleed. This has happened to many before... once they do it, ride it some and have them do it again. It has taken several attempts at bleeding for some to get all the air out. Good luck.

So since this seems to be the catch all Black CVO Ultra thread...I have a question.....whats with the HUGE, GINORMOUS, GARGANTUAN ignition switch??  It's like an inch taller than on a regular Ultra or the  CVO SG (the only other CVO they had to compare with), is this different than the other CVO Ultra's??  And whats it for???  I mean that thing is BIG.....for some reason.....

NO WAY!!!  Too cool.....but then I'd have to get use to not turning it to lock when I turn it off while still on the bike.....having the steering locked helps me get off the bike, Hey, I'm old...and fat...and damn near crippled, just not ready to give up my HD for a Hoveround yet.  :P

Not to worry. You still need to turn the lock into the proper position.

Ride safely,

Picking mine up Friday after work #471, it had been at my dealer on the floor for about a month, guess i got lucky. Hopefully it won't rain like it did when i picked up my 03 Road King. getting her lowered. exhaust is backordered for 2 weeks. so it will be stock for a bit longer. since this is my first Ultra, i don't know what to really expect, other than there are alot of button, hahahaha. So i know that it heavier than my RK, and not as much power as my 95in. i hate sounding like a new rider but i am wondering what if any of the little quirks of riding a full dresser"handling, etc". thanks smkblwr
