CVOwner, get them from one of the discount joints mentioned above and do the installation yourself.  It's a breeze!!  Does require a bike jack, otherwise, very straightforward.

Yeah, 'er 'uh, CVOwner,
They offer 11.5" also.  I put 'em on Ol' Maudie.  Like the Low-Look! ;) Later--HUBBARD

Installed the 12" 440's and like most of the posts saw a immediate difference when crossing expansion joints which are a very popular feature on NJ roads. Takes the jar/jolt out of the equation.
Personally I feel the're super easy to adjust with the turn of your wrist.
I screwed them down to zero and marked each side with a small dab of nail polish (not mine!) to keep track of the 1/2 turns etc. [smiley=oops.gif]
Yep,the nail polish ought to bring out some replys............................

I looked, read and decided on Platinum Air Suspension www.mcadvantages.com/HTM/Wheels/Platinum_Deluxe.htm

I am very happy.  It raises and lowers the bike from 9.5 inches to 13 inches with one switch and softens and firms the ride at any height with the other switch.  Triple Chrome with no exposed rubber seals or dust covers.  They are 4 times the price of the progressive 440's that I nearly chose from the info on this site.  However, I couldn't resist the flexibility of the platinum air.

It really responds quickly.  Almost behaves like a "low rider".  It's fun to park and drop it down, and step off with no stretch.

Hey Bill - What colour nail polish did you use? - I feel it's important to get the details right. ;)

Cheers

Where is this measurement taken from? [smiley=confused5.gif]spyder

Spyder

I'll get back to you on that with pics but right now I am in Naples, Fl doing a golf thing.  I think it is measured between the fixed shock attachment points.  When I put it on the jack Sunday to fix the motor mount, the bike was too low.  So I raised it until I had plenty of frame clearance, slid the jack under and then lowered it on the jack before raising the jack.  So I know it raises the lower frame, some but not three inches.

When firming up the ride with the other switch, the bike actually lowers some.  I works opposite from what I expected.  I'll get all the characteristics when I get home Sunday.

spydglide,

I believe the 9.5 to 13 inch description is the shock travel, fully compressed to fully extended.  See attachment for more details.

Are you anywhere near the Rolls Royce factory? In the not too distant future I will be there for approx one weeks training. I work in Bentley and Rolls Royce sales.I'm anxious to try to get a look at the Brits bike scene. I'm a big fan of Bike magazine and the English flavor of the articles.

Thanks for the ebay trip....I've been trying to give mine away and couldn't find anyone that wanted them.

I like the idea of the lower ride height using 11.5" 440's.  Is the ride that much better than stock air suspension.  Running my stock shocks at 35 psi, seems OK, just curious if I would see (feel) and significant improvement.

Also, love the corbin stinger seat, bought the same for my bike based on your recommendation on another thread.  You were right on!
