  Yes, makes sense but when this first happened I could make the starter work by jumping it from the hot post to the connector at the bottom. I did this several time during the time I was trying to fix it. I guess I will probably never know.



Remembered that and it does contradict the internal starter problem. 

When it did that did you try turning the kill and ignition switches to on and seeing if the bike would start that way?  If it would have you'd have known it wasn't the alarm module turning the ignition system off.

I guess I thought maybe just part of the alam was working. The part that disables the starter switch. I was at wits end and grabbing for something. It would be nice to know what happened so I would'nt have to worry about it happening again. I guess I will carry the jump wire just in case.

Perhaps something went haywire in the tsm/tssm and riding it long enough reset it. I've had to unplug/replug mine on several occasions to fix various anomalies after shorts.
