Given the injuries your daughter received while defending our country, combined with her reenlistment, this is a testament to the will and dedication of not only her but our youth in general. The silent minority if you will. A testament to the will of fine young Americans whose demographic is easily labeled as lazy and even unpatriotic. She gives me hope for the future of this great country. Please extend my thanks as well. God Bless her and all our men & women serving this great country. The fact that they are all volunteers is a statement in and of itself. Great kids Jeff  :2vrolijk_21:

This from a man who's been there, done that, got a t-shirt! Thanks GH!

Congrats, definitely a day to remember

Jeff congrats to you daughter and yourself. Please thank her for her Service to this Great Country. I have always cherished every milestone my daughter reached while she served 9 years in the Air Force Reseves. She is continuing in the Military life as she is married to a active duty Marine.  Again keep us informed of her progress.  :2vrolijk_21:

I will show her this thread. Our service people need to know, most of us really do appreciate them. Weird how you never see anything on the news any more. To absorbed in our newest political bs.

Thanks Brad. Having family members in the service does add to our burden but it also has many benefits.

Before you posted the picture of her giving you the buckle I was thinking - "wouldn't that be cool if she gave Dad one!"

Well Duane, as she handed me the buckle I was told I have to hold it in my left hand where my buckle is for the photo. I got stabbed in that hand years ago and have some trouble with my little finger. You guessed it, I dropped the buckle. That brought up quite a noise from the company. There was a discussion on how many push ups that would cost me. I'm really glad I got to share in the moment with her.
