Told you before you're smarter than I am.  Of course the qualifier we all have to throw in there is "do 500 miles in a day if the bike could stay on the road that far without needing a little work."  :huepfenlol2:

Amen.  500 mile days happened.  But they were rare.  I can remember during a not-doing-college stretch in my early 20s when most of a couple years was spent riding somewhere west of the Mississippi seeking a little clarity.  Even when there was nothing to do but ride it was hard to cover 2000 miles in a week.  Chains, wheel bearings, self-servicing engines, all the stuff that went with it.  Looking back on them it's hard to believe we actually legitimately made fun of the Triumphs and other Brit bikes we'd see for being broke down even more often than we were.

The garage door opener is something (much like the cruise control) that I probably wouldn't have added, but really like on the scooter once it came with it.  Now, the heated grips didn't come on the SEEGs, trend setters or not!  That was a great addition for my ole paws.  ;) har.  spyder

A wise man once said that a remote control for your TV is not a necessity - that is until you've had one.  I feel that way about the garage door opener - so much more convenient that having to remember to take the remote from your cage (or paying for an extra one) then finding a 'convenient' place for it on the bike, then being able to get to it easily, etc, etc.  Just flip the light switch and presto your door is open.  Great accessory imo.

That's right.  D'uh... it's a safety feature.  Flick a thumb rather than fumbling for a pocket stashed remote.  Has nothing to do with convience.  We can always justify safety.  8)

Yeah, Jerry, that's what my windshield bag on the softtail 'special' is best used for......a easily accessed spare garage door remote.  But, not as good as the light switch on the SEEG.  :drink: har.  spyder

Do you think for for $36,000 the MOCO can kiss my A$$ at delivery???  If not, I guess water cooled would be a start.

Again I say "Watercooled" SEUC, with a GREAT aftermarket seat (Mustang).
Like it was said before, relocate filter, fix the primary filler.
Oh, as long as it's watercooled, might as well tune it for 100 rear wheel hp,
with 100ft/lb of torque starting at 2000 rpm and running thru 5000 rpm!
No... that will never happen, the MOCO would lose too much aftermarket parts!

Boy, I like to dream!

I have owned a harley of some sort for 28 years, I remember when the saddle bags were for tools and spare parts just so you could make it back home.Water cooled is a good idea but IMHO it would take away from the nostalgia of the Harley. I know Iam a newbie here but been reading the post for some time and a big majority of the post contain research and tips and tricks to beat the heat, now if they made them water cooled all this research would go to the way side. But if they do make them water cooled Iam sure there will be new research needing to be done, the beauty of owning a Harley the bike will never be done we will always find something that sets ours apart from everyone else's.

I was able to see the 2011 color chart yesterday at my dealer. He had just got it
in and the sales staff had not even seen it yet.  :2vrolijk_21:

The most stand out color is called Sedona Orange and it looks great.
The owner of the dealership said he was ordering himself a new SG
in that color and then customize it, 21 inch front wheel, wrap around
front fender, etc.

Did not have SE colors in it though :(
