Motorcycle shipping.........
« on: February 08, 2006, 11:57:00 AM »

We've had various comments about motorcycle shipping and shippers so thought I'd start this thread specifically for that purpose.

I got a quote from the moco shipping a few days ago, this is what I got.
I put to ship my bike form Spokane , WA to Leesburg, Fl over Thanksgiving week.
What I got back was about 950.00 I guess that's for one way.  Then it say that I had to drop my bike of at Everret , WA(about 350 miles from Spokane) theen they would drop it off in Orlando(about 2hrs away from Leesburg)  Hope you guys get a better deal.
Oh yeah,  Insurance coverage up to 20,000.00 included, anything over is extra.  So for most of us it would be more $$.

AK turn me on to them when I bought a trailer off Ebay.  They have been great to deal with and I should get the trailer next week.  $600 LA to Vancouver, Wa.  The company move motorcycles and Pianos.  You will end up talking to a nice lady named Kelly,  if you use them mention this site I think there was talk of a discount maybe in the works.

Try these guys for shipping, they hit all of the big events on both coasts and travel frequently.

I have used them for over 5 years to haul.

Today was delivery day for my scooter as I had Keyboard Carriage, ship my scooter from Reno, NV to my new home in Clear Lake, IA

I must say I was very impressed with Keyboard Carriage as the Driver took Great Pride in his work and was very careful.

On a 1 to 10 scale

I give Keyboard Carriage Motorcycle shipping a 9+

jeffj

Now Iowa lets get those Temps over 40 so I can't get out and ride, thanks HD for the factory heated seat and grips.

Thanks for the feedback Jeff.  Hope you're getting settled in back there.

I'll be shipping mine with Keyboard Carriage in about 90 days.

I wouldn't trust my ride to anyone other than Allied Van Lines. They might not be the cheapest, but they are the best  IMHO  ;)

That's who shipped my bike from Idaho Falls to Sacramento.......they use Eagle Global Logistics.  They dented my front fender then gave me the run around about getting it replaced.  HD corp. had to get involved before it was dealt with.

Many thanks to Harley Davidson of Sacramento for picking up the ball and running with it......getting answers for me where I couldn't get any from the dealership in Idaho Falls or EGL.
