If you put it in the back seat you would have the same bad reception as the fairing once the bsr sat down. :devilish:

Ok.  Back to business.

With my bike in the garage I tried 3 different antenna's mounted on my clutch reservoir and on the inner fairing behind the windshield. Below are the results.

1.  Stock internal XM antenna-  0 bars
2.  Motorcycle antenna from TSS Radio- 0-1 bars
3.  SRS antenna with the Farka? already on it- 3 bars
You can purchase them with the Farka?? already attached but you need to call them and ask for it.
Then there is no need to purchase the patch cable.

I also stood in front of the SRS at every angle and had no reception loss.

No time to try on the road today because of rain AGAIN but assume results will be good.

So, I obviously went with the SRS and it looks just fine on a my black bike.

Just installed mine.  Ran it (at least for now to my left handle bar as the bracket slips nicely under the clutch reservoir.  Will button it up and test it better and post again.  A note for anyone doing this.....the connection into the radio must be inserted hard and completely in...further than you think....or you will get check antenna signal.

Ok...first apologize for not getting back sooner.  Amazing here in the mountains and river valleys.  Went from probably 45% coverage to about 95% after mounting it on the handlebar with wire through clutch cable opening also.  Ugly, but works....and I like riding with music more than I look at each piece of my bike....so VERY HAPPY with it now.
Someone has a bad mind.....or good........and yes couldn't have written it better apparently if I'd tried to describe "it"....... ;D  :pepper:
Will try to be better at helping out here.  Thanks to all for the info and assistance.

Glad to hear your experience was as good as mine.  I have mine mounted in the same spot but since my bike is black I barely notice it.
