I hope there will be a way in the future to keep the "Speed" indicator white and not red.  With my eyes, I find it almost impossible to see the "Speed" indicator now that it is red at night.  Good concept but bad color for older eyes.

I guess that speed indicator will stay red most of the time anyway....

Maybe you take it this way: See the indicator - you are too slow. Can't see it properly - good to go.

Cheers,

The update include some Audio samples (about 4 or 5).  You have to connect your Garmin to your PC via USB and delete those samples and that note goes away.

I'm actually glad they added the blue note.  If you load MP3s to play, now it's a quick link to the MP3 player instead of having to back out of the map and go to the settings function to open up the the player.  Saves a bunch of steps now...I like it!!   :2vrolijk_21:

found a bug in the new version,

on normal map view the "blue note" turns into a "red fuel" icon when you get below your defined threshold, but in either more map view or more data view it does not.

just need to figure out how to report that to garmin

Thank you for contacting Garmin International.

Happy to assist. If you haven't already, please re-install the 3.80 update using the WebUpdater program to insure corrupt information wasn't transferred to the unit. Furthermore, please RESET and re-calibrate the Fuel settings on the unit. If the issue still exist after this, please follow these steps to perform a Master Reset on the unit:
NOTE: Performing a Master Reset may cause all address’s and favorites to be erased!

To back up information on you computer please follow these steps:

1. Connect your unit to your computer via USB cable
2. Click on MYCOMPUTER
3. Under DEVICES WITH REMOVABLE STORAGE click GARMIN
4. Click on the GARMIN folder
5. Find the GPX file
6. DRAG and DROP the file out of the folder onto your desktop

To Perform the Master Reset please follow these steps:

1. Power unit off
2. Place your left thumb on the lower right corner of the screen apply decent pressure
3. Power the unit on (keep you thumb on the screen)
4. Release the power button (keep your thumb on the screen)
5. A White screen will come up that says, "DO YOU REALLY WANT TO ERASE ALL USER DATA" press YES
6. Answer the questions as they apply
7. Let the unit sit for 30 - 60 minutes with a clear view of the sky
Please advise.

So once you get done with the 'Master Reset', do you put the GPX file copy back into the folder?  Does that ensure everything is restored?

Thanks!

Yeah, I hear you. Like I said before, usually these 'updates' are a nice two steps forward, but one dinger of a step back. Sure wish they'd consder getting a couple of beta testers to vet this stuff our a bit. Oh well.

Just downloaded the latest Maps and the current H-D Dealer list and firmware from the Garmin site....

https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/unlock/unlockHome.htm?passedCommodityId=7000848224920373#installedMaps

When I was using it today and my turn was coming up fast to get off the freeway.... instead of a drawn map of the off ramp,

It showed a real picture (photo) with the foothills and traffic lights............. I like this new feature!
