Out riding in the hinter lands and a Storm is brewing.

We are about 3 hours from home and all of us are on Baggers except for 1 sporty. (no cover around us)

Rain starts coming Very light sprinkling and the baggers all have rain gear except for the sporty.

Sporty wants to book and try to beat the rain.......Baggers want to stop and put on rain gear.

That may only take 15 min but rain is behind us and moving in......

1. stop and put on gear and say to hell with sporty.....
2. Do not stop and start booking and get wet and hope we can drive out of it......
3. tell Sporty to go ahead of us and good luck .....(note sporty not real good at directions, may get lost)

what is the right thing to do?

Conclusion:  Assuming only the facts given, option 1. (stop and put on gear and say to hell with sporty.....) is the correct option because it attempts to preserve the safety of everyone in the group.  

Analysis:  Does it really take 15 min to "rain gear up?"  I would think three or four at most.  The facts seem to assume it's going to rain very soon.  It is probably safer to stay as a group and safer for those that have it to put on rain gear.  To send sporty on alone in that condition seems the worst (least safe) choice.  For sporty to make baggers take a risk is also a bad choice.  Thus, #1 had to be the choice.   \

Yea man bring on the see thru white shirt and lots of rain for the Girl on the sporty!! I think at least 30 min's for the guys on the baggers to get there gear on would work.Why hurry!!

I have ridden in the rain before thinking it was going to be a quick shower and I wasn't going to get wet only to get wet in places I didn't know I had. I say stop put on your rain gear teach the guy in the sport a valuable lesson... if you ride you going to get caught in the rain be prepared. Now if it's a (well endowed) girl on the sporty with a white top on.... well I guess I'm like the rest of these "hound dogs".... woof, woof!!!!

I've been in that situation, and my response is you chose to not bring rain gear or a bike that won't carry it - I'm going to be dry and you aren't.

a group of grown a$$ people can make their own decisions whether to stop or move on. If I were on the sporty with no gear and everyone else wanted to stop I would have said A.M.F. Ill see yall there. If on the bagger and I wanted to stop I would do so with no regard to the other grown a$$ people. IMHO
