Somebody referred to Terrie and I as the energizer bunnies on our vacation in Florida last year.......but I think you've got us beat.  Like you, I do try to squeeze in as much as possible.......might not make it back again.

Only that's not the case for Florida......so you in Miami on Oct. 2, Jock! :2vrolijk_21:

No way JC, you guys plan and me...well just wait and see...You keep going and going my friend!  Can't wait to hear of that trip!  WOW!

Chapter Three - The Pre-Ride Visit!  WOW!

Day Three

So what do you do when you have accomplished so much in so little time with the last free day prior to the event?  Well if you are me I rattled off a number of options including just riding to the Mexican Border to “take a peep”.  We spoke about a number of the options and at the last minute decided we would journey towards the boarder but not cross.

So we cranked up the motorsickle and off we went…I informed Janice that I had been given some offers to go over with experienced travelers in the area but I did not want to inconvenience anyone.  Not having crossed since I was a child and having no experience nor did I reach anything it was not a good idea to “Just Do It”

As we got closer to my surprise Janice stated we can go over if you want.  WOW!  That was surprising to hear.  My thoughts were, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.  So the little devil in me said WTF!

Pulled into the second exit prior to the boarder and talked to a couple of clerks from Mexico.  Thought well I can handle this experience.  Got fuel for the bike, $20 vehicle insurance, some information that I forgot at the boarder and shazzam!

When I got back on the interstate it was less than 2 miles to the boarder.  From this point on there would be a high fence on both sides and the middle.  In addition ONLY two vehicles were seen on the drive to the boarder.  A very spooky feeling indeed.  At one point I remember thinking could I turn around if I choose not to go?

All of a sudden we were at the Mexican Boarder Crossing and I was expecting to have to stop and speak, present or do something!  Absolutely nothing besides a boy that looked 13 years old waving me into the country and others looking at him. C#!t what just happened?  Before you knew it I was in Mexico and I was not prepared!  Dorothy you aren’t in Kansas any more!

Immediately I noticed a line of traffic that looked like it would go on forever attempting to get into the USA.  I though, “you are going to be in that line longer than you will be in Mexico”.  That was freak out #1.

Since my bearings were off I missed the turn off that I should have taken

and ended up in…

One of the first opportunities you will be presented with during your visit is access to their excellent health care and pharmacy operations which are available on every block!

While you are having your teeth repaired and getting your drugs, of all kinds, be sure to have your car’s repair work performed.  Body shops both car and human all around!

Plenty of traffic to be found!  This one is of automobile traffic but if you are looking for drug or illegal boarder crossing traffic that can be found too.

There is so much I could say about this photograph!  All of it would be wrong at so many levels!
