But seriously Katrina did change this ole girl of a city and while it is not the same in some ways in others it is just the same.  I have made many visits back home since my early years here and this would not be the first time that I have returned to enjoy its open arms.  Well last time wasn’t so open!

I just had to come back one last time.

But these handprints on the front steps are mine.

After visiting the old neighborhood I was time to travel downtown…here we have the Founder of New Orleans

To bring back some memories it was time to have a JAX Beer!  Here is the old brewery right downtown in the French Quarter




“They paved paradise and put up a parking (shopping/condo) lot”

Now right behind Jax you will find the Mighty Mississippi River and Moonwalk

The ferry going across the tracks…to Algiers…

On right behind the Moonwalk and the French Quarter you can catch the tolley

[Jock]

As we walk back towards the French Quarter you would be directly in front of Jackson Square

[Jock]

Here you can catch one of the many horse drawen carriages and begin your experience of The Big Easy…but beware of the potential smell on a hot day!  Woo!

Right next to Jackson Square you will find the Pedestrian Mall…This place was quite different from years past when this place was packed with street vendors!

And you know and that to expect this…It’s N’awlins
