<snip>Terrie and I, Jon & Susan are up here near Mt. Lassen for the holiday. <snip>

Hey JCZ,

What's the Lassen area look like? I'm hoping to ride through the park the w/e of June 26th. Does it look like the roads will be open by then?

I can't tell for sure where you are headed east, looks like maybe Hwy 128. That's a great road but if you have the time, don't sell yourself short and take Hwy 1 to its northern terminus at Hwy 101 in Leggett. If you haven't done it (even if you have), the section above Ft. Bragg to Leggett is one of the best roller coaster roads in California.

When are you going to be in the Marin/Sonoma area?

Was planning to take 20 East Blazo... at this point I'm not sure I am going to make it all the way to Fort Bragg. But will def make it a point to check it out.

Just the one road (over the top) closed.  Everything else is open.  We rode all the way around the park yesterday.  We'll be posting pics later.

20 is a great ride too. Not as good as Hwy 1 from Ft. Bragg to Leggett but you won't be disappointed.

Well I had to cut the ride a day short... went as far as Monterey and then cut back toward Sac.  Will get up yo Fort Bragg and beyond soon. Overall a great ride... San Diego and all the beach cities were nice but NOTHING compared to the northern part of the state... I doubt I would do PCH from LA south again. Once was enough... Cambria up through Big Sur, Carmel, etc now THAT is worth a few more takes...  Here's the ACTUAL route I ended up taking.

Redondo Beach again... lived here when I was in Jr and Sr High and went by the places I used to hang out. Spent a LOT of time on this beach in those days.
