Bluegoose- I thought the stock seat would look bad but yours looks pretty good.  Are your handle bars stock?  I seam to have a problem hitting my knee on sharp turns like you'd take at a stop sign.  I've been moving my knee out on the turns but looking for some other options.

Handle bars are stock - seem to be OK.  Not currently planning to change them.

Hey Bluegoose.  So if you remove your tourpack and amp. then you have no front speakers either correct?

I'm told that all the speakers run through the amp. so if you remove the amp. you have nothing.

I'm trying to find a solution that I will still be able to use the front speakers.  Suggestions?

Thanks for your help.
I just finished the TP removal on my bike:  Left the stock amp off and installed the Hawg Wired amp in the fairing with a new pair of Hawg Wired speakers up front.  Incredible sound and when the TP is back on, the stock radio will still power the rear speakers (just not amplified).  this eliminated a need to relocate the stock rear amp, which is really poor engineering from MOCO....IMHO

I totally agree with that..  Why wouldn't they want to leave the rider an option of removing the TP without all the amp headaches?   I don't get them at all on that one. :-\ :nixweiss:

I agree - I plan to do something similiar this coming winter - will probably go with a Hawg Wired system.  The stock amp is a pain to deal with under the tour pack.  But for about $20 and a some time I was able to make it work.  With all the other mods I made I didn't have the $$$ to do anything else this past winter.

cvofan- what Hawg Wired amp and speakers did you use?  Can you give me the P/N's & model's#?  Also, do you need to change the front speakers to Hawg Wired when you change the amp.?

If you call or write to HD Dude (Jim),, he will take great care of you with any Hawg Wired question you might have and he sells their stuff on here cheaper than buying it direct from Hawg Wired too.   Jim is a great guy to work with and gives great service too. I have the 1202 ( I think thats the #)   plug n play and 120w and I love it.  good luck.

Bluegoose, did the extended bags come painted from the factory or did your painter do those too? Thanks again.

They came from Harley primed and were painted by Boitnotts.

Thanks again, from the pictures, it looks like they really were able to match things up. If you didn't know it, you'd think they were factory painted. Can you tell any difference?
