Details are sketchy as I was not able to get the tech on the phone.  Decided to upgrade to the SE Clutch to see if that helps.  Nothing noted in the Tranny.  will be picking it up this weekend.  340 miles home wwill test it a little.Bill

For a sightly longer test ride how 'bout Spokane?

Work is now getting in the way of that one.  We wanted to go but there was no way to make it happen.

Bike home again, ran great (even with the wonderful New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway traffic) with the "performance" clutch!

Still no slipping but I really don't like how far "out" the friction zone is and it is verty small at that, maybe the last 3/8" of travel and it grips hard and fast at the last 1/8"...seems close to the edge if you asked me.  I took GRC's advice and lowered the fluid level in the master cylinder just below the recommended level..  I did not notice any difference.  I would much rather have it start to grab (in all gears at about half way travel of the lever.  Am I wrong to want this?  Is there anything that can adjust this?  Is there something out of tolerance that can be doing this?

I did not try to Bleed any air out but even if I did, wouldn't it reduce travel further?  I remember when I got my 2010 SESG.  It would creep while stopped at lights...the opposite of my current problem.  A proper bleed and it was perfect.

No adjustment on the hydraulic clutch Bill.  It releases when it releases and (assuming no fault nor air anywhere) there's nothing you can change.

Damn.

Maybe I will try to bleed it myself.

Well,

I am throwing an error code (didn't check it) and the Cruise Control is non-functional.  Saw a blip of green (the cruise indicator) for a second when I tried it the other night but otherwise, it stays red.  Not the fuse as far as I can tell.

Gonna bring it in to a local dealer...the one that I used to use closed so we shall see how it goes.

So,

Error code not indicating anything with the Cruise Control per service rep.  Will get the exact details when I get down there.  Claimed they were old/resolved.  I don't remember resolving any but will see.

Hydraulic Clutch Master Cylinder "leaking" and/or not funbctioning properly.  Will be replacesd.

Hydraulic Clutch bleeder screw rounded, will be replacing screw and housing.

Will update as I learn more.

Well, call me chicken.... or whatever, but I sold my 08 SEUC last week.  The warranty ends this month and I didn't want to deal with more of the same old problems without HD on the line to pay for it all.

I'm going to take a look at the 2013's, but I'm guessing that there will not be any offerings that will impress me enough to take another chance. I really hope the HD corp. spies that monitor this sight take this back to WillieG

I suspect we may see a V-Rodglide in the next year or three.  Maybe then????

They are "completely rebuilding" the Clutch.  I will find out what that means in the morning.

I am not sure what I will do but probaly trading it in for a 2013.

Still in the shop awaiting more parts.  Replacing Clutch Master Cylinder since the rebuild did not work.  Replacing Clutch Cable, due to discovered leak.

Wish it was as simple as my gps cable interfereing with the handle like the other member!

But, they ARE trying to get it fixed and find the root cause and I do appreciate that.
