Just my two cents but I think the following are absolutely critical after a long ride and a couple of days at home with my Screamin Chicken

1) Floorboard extenders - I feel like my feet are going to slip off the slim boards and have trouble getting my EEE feet in a comfortable position other than my highway pegs.

2) Progressives or some shock improvement - The stock shocks just plain stink on this set up and give no confidence between the bottoming and wallowing feeling for me.

3) Open the engine up - Air cleaner, remap at least as the thing feels restricted above 3500

4) Antenna is a pain in the butt - I am going to put a tune trapper on but the long wire thing is ubsurd.

5) The seat needs work for longer rides for me.

Mr. Dog

Not sure what 05 you been sitting on but between the 04's I have sat on, and my 05 there is a world of difference.

Or maybe it's all the cushion on my a$$

Which way (I'm not kidding?)  I thought the seat on the red bike was just terrible (and my ass has plenty of cushion).

Back by popular demand, for my 100th post I'm posting 2LaneRider's favorite "Must Have" which used to be in a thread for "who knew where to find the best rack !"

Just trying to give back to the community. [smiley=beerchug.gif]

Okay, so I am brand new so bare with me !!!

I am going to be picking up my teal this Friday [smiley=laugh.gif], and from what I have read above my understanding is that any of the roadking seats will fit my new SEEG, is this correct ??
I have an 02 FLHRI that I will be getting rid of soon, but by all this talk about the seat issues...  well let's just say that if my touring seat fits also my wife would be oh so happy !!! [smiley=1syellow1.gif]

By the way, JCZ I met you (and I forgot the other guys name) this past spring in Yosemite. I was with KingSalmon when we ran into you at the valley floor.

JCZ,

Okay first things first, I don't know how you do that grey box thing with the other person's message [smiley=confused.gif], but anyway.

Yes, you have an excellent memory, I was on a '02 Road King, and you did say there was one with my name on it,  I finally found it [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] !!!
It is a 2T Teal and I will be picking it up on Friday  [smiley=1syellow1.gif].
As you can see I am a little excited and I can already tell it is going to be a long week [smiley=confused.gif].

Thank you for the info on the seat and my wife will be so pleased with your answer !!! [smiley=beerchug.gif]

As far as for Kingsalmon, he is around.  In fact we rode yesterday with a group up past Berryessa and up to Clear Lake, what a Great Day !!! [smiley=laugh.gif]

Thank you for the warm welcome and I am looking forward to talking with you more soon.
Heal up quick !!!

Quiet as it's kept.......something tells me Chip would be a hard one to hang with, too.  See, I think he's really a rider dressed in trailering clothes! [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]  We'll get to find out at the West Coast GTG in Sept.  It's gonna be a good time for sure.

SAC (his initials, not my city) go to the very top of the page (above the weather report) where it tells you how many PMs (private messages) you have and click on that to open them up.

After paying $30,000.00 for a bike I am having a hard time spending a dime more. [smiley=cry2.gif] Threres always room for improvements.Theres nothing really wrong with the bikes. Everyone seems to be creating wish lists. Trust me on this put your money back in your pocket and ride it like you stold it.  [smiley=oops.gif]You cant go wrong. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
