So where did you get the Techmount? You liked the crash bar mount better? Did you try the suction cup mount?

I've really been holding off on getting a camera, GoPro is my first choice when I cut loose.  Have any of you heard about the LCD backpac or the battery backpac yet from GoPro?  They were supposed to release these back in March, but it only says "coming soon" on the website.  This is what I've been waiting for before I buy.  If they don't come up with these, I may turn my directions more to the vHoldr Contour HD camera.

Have either or you guys tried the helmet mount?  Most of the videos shown on all the websites use a body mounted location, chest or helmet.  I would think the vibration goes down a lot at that point.  I like the helmet POV because it can be directed to specific objects without pointing your bike to record the object.

Thanks for posting the different mounting location videos.   :2vrolijk_21:

have not tried the helmet mount, and still waiting on the backpacs. i'm getting about 4 hrs of usage taking still shots every 30 seconds. only done short video clips so far

can usually find good deals on techmounts on ebay, or order direct from techmount. didnt try the suction mount. not sure i would trust it or where i would attach it.
started on the bars but the combo of the GPS and the camera was too much on the bar and caused alot of vibration

Sometimes I'm soooo much smarter than I look!  :huepfenlol2: I searched the garage for the box that the GoPro came in and low & behold, I ordered the "expansion part" accessory kit (Ride hero # 424291) when I first placed my order. There's the clamp mount! Now all I have to do is wait for the dealership to give me my bike back & I'll set it up.

ive contacted gopro and asked about a mount thats AMPS compatible

Quote
i have the tripod mount on a motorcycle using a flat surface that has a standard 4 hole AMPS pattern, i switched to this after finding the quick release clip vibrated too much. what about making a mount that fits the standard 4 hole pattern? this would allow a gopro to be mounted onto an existing GPS/radar detector/Cell phone/etc.... mount. you could make bout a horizontal and a vertical mount for this. thanks

received a reply a few hours later

Hello Neal,

Thanks for your suggestion. You arent the first person to suggest this for mounting.  We take these requests seriously and forward them to our engineers.  The greater number of requests receive the better change it makes it to production.  Thanks for your input.

Many Thanks,

Neal, what program are you using to edit the .MP4 files? I have the file from MV10 and tried posting it to YouTube but it says it too big at 30 minutes. Any way to cut it down?
