Just got an e-mail from my dealer.  It was to him from Harley Davidson.  The CVO deliveries were pushed back again.  January Kryptonite bikes just got moved to February and so on and so on and so on  :(  The e-mail states that the Kryptonite/Black paint issues are "close to resolution" but, they will not have sufficient quantity of Kryptonite/Black paint sets until February!

I just put the deposit on mine today!  Supposed to be here in St. Louis mo on Feb 4, 2011.  I'm so excited!

Good to see St. Louis on the board! Although mine's not Kryptonite I picked mine up (Autumn Haze) about a month ago.

The cold weather is killing me!!!!!! Feb should be crispy!!!!

Here's the newsletter part pertaining to FLHXSE2 dated 11-18-10......

FLHXSE2 Delivery Update :
While working through the recovery plan on FLHXSE2, we continue to have challenges meeting our delivery requirements.  A number of December FLHXSE2 orders have been retimed to January. The retiming of December has pushed January orders into February and some February into March.

Kryptonite/Black
The paint supply issue on Kryptonite/Black is close to resolution.  In our last communication, we had expected to begin shipping in January.  Unfortunately, we will not have sufficient quantity of the Kryptonite/Black paint sets until February.

The wait continues.....

Now I'm having second thoughts of the final product. Is there really a paint issue with the green? Durability...longevity...quality...? Last thing I want is peeling paint two years later.... :nixweiss: :o

Finished the paperwork yesterday for my Black Diamond/Crimson Tag (Black & red ha!) which was uncrated while I was there.  Will ride out of the dealership on Thursday.  The word from bayside HD, Portsmouth is that the Kryptonite is now delayed shipping until February.  There's a girl just about out of her mind waiting for it to show up!

Chivalry isn't dead.  I told her it would help me greatly if she would help me break in the passenger section of my Blk/Red.  Tit for tat to ease her through the long winters wait!

In another thread "Kingdog" posted this:  "I was told by a dealer Saturday that the Green SESG has been cancelled for this year model. That they can not get the paint to stick without peeling."

I spoke to my dealer yesterday and he said that my bike is scheduled for February and HDNET has allowed my name to be consigned to a specific bike.  Kingdog is from NC, so....I was wondering if anyone else has heard anything like this?
