My 2005 Banana Electra....Kinda (may turn your stomachs)
« on: September 04, 2010, 07:41:43 PM »

I bought this bike in May with 1900 miles just thought I would share some progress pics on its transformation.  I cut the neck and brought to 36 degrees of rake then added 3 degree trees for a total of 39. I stretched the backbone 1 inch and the fuel tank alot (can't remember) it has air ride in the rear and is gonna run a 23' front and 18' rear wheels. sorry for the poor phone pics more progress to come

First thought is "could've had a lot cheaper donor bike" to start that project.  But y'know what; maybe not?

You get the 103 and some other bits that would be used and otherwise costly to buy to add to a donor bike.  Then if the banana paint set is sold for a decent price it may all work out :nixweiss: ?

Hard to say for sure.  Only thing I know for sure is it's not my project so my opinion doesn't mean a darn thing.  Have fun with it man.  Show it off when it's done.

Why?
Why not ?  If you like it , it has to be good !
What if we all wanted one kind of bike ? Supply and demand would dictate that none of us would get what we wanted because the price would be astronomical !--------The American way ! ;D

I did the math numerous times it made more sense to do this first off it will always be a cvo and the motor would cost a lot to put on a non cvo and I think I got a good deal. The bike had 2k with a matching set of wheels and a dd pipe.  Bike 18,500 sold the sheet metal for 3000 the wheels for 2k and the pipe, brakes and a few other parts for 1500 so started out with a 12k bike I thought it was a good deal

This pic looks like it needs a wider rear fender/tire. I don't think I would have done what you did, but hey it's your vision. Roll with it. What color/colors are you going to use.
