So that begs another question from me...why LED over HID?

In my experiance with HID the ballasts have seemed to be unreliable. They can go out or not work at all with the flip of a coin. But with the dual bulb that comes on these bikes, you would always have a "backup" I guess. I don't think it would be very likely for two bulbs or ballasts to flop at the same time.  I just don't trust em on a street bike.  I wouldn't want to get stranded at night or have oncoming traffic not be able to see me.

With that said, I did have some DDM Tuning HID on my vrod. But had I still had it now, I would deff switch to led.  I've just had to many HID quit on me, wether it b on an atv or an auto.

The current they draw is quite a bit less and the light is whiter and brighter.

yes much less current draw also less components to worry about  dont have to add anything just plug in  instant bright light dont have to wait for HID to warm up  no issues with hi/lo beams  the only 2 cons are the cost   the second con is  if it does fail your sh*t out of luck because you cant replace just the bulb  might be a big problem if on a road trip  odds are you wont have a problem with an LED but things happen
Food for thought

That being said I will be installing the black JWSpeaker 8700 when I get my Krypto

So possum, what you're sayin' is the LEDs are brighter and draw less current than the HIDs? Interesting...didn't know that. Thanks

Yes to both...BUT with the CVO and the HD garage opener it's not simple plug and play, ya gotta reove a small harness for the halogen bulbs and splice the GDO into the old style harness.  Shop did mine but I'm sure it wasn't that complicated and surely someone here knows how.

That wouldn't be an issue as I don't have a GDO...thanks for the input.

It is plug and play if you purchase part 70423-98 (Wire Harness Dual Head Lamp).  Have a picture posted in the Electronic Toy Section.

That black one is killer!!! Cheapest I found was Chicago HD @ $524  mighty perdy  but ooh so expensive  I guess if you go with the safety thing, IF IT SAVES YOUR A** JUST ONCE................
Try Lake Shore H-D. Just ordered the Black LED and it was $444.00 shipping included to an APO address in S. Korea. This one will go on my 2011 FLHXSE2.

I put both the headlight and driving lights on my Black & Orange CVO.  They are very bright and I like the looks of them.

Sending you a PM also. Anyway you could post a picture of your LED set up from the front with lights off? Thanks.
