as to the road king tank, based on the picture provided. i dont see the graphics continue onto the tour pack the fairing or the lowers, so i'm going to assume that a road king paint set was used and that the other parts were color matched to the green

I looked in the back of the catalog and that paint scheme is not there.  Just the paint doesn't explain the Road King tank that is on it or does it?

Here is a link to the 2011 LIMITED PAINT SETS
If you read they say they are ?# of 200

As for what was offered in 2006. I am not sure how to search H-D for that.

Jester,

If you go to the HD website you can check on the History of CVO Bikes.  That will confirm the comments above.

Seconly, go to the HD Service Check Up page and input your VIN.  That should tell you exactly what year and model you have.  You could also check your title or registration papers.

Also, a CVO bike from 2006 would have silver and chrome engine/trans, not black.

And silver calipers and floating rotors on the front.  Did the dealer you bought it from market it as a CVO?  If so, I hope you didn't pay too many extra $$$$$s thinking it is something other than a nice-looking, modified Street Glide.

No cvo ever built had black master cylinder lid or black handle bar controls.

He did get a painted inner fairing and mirrors.  I wonder what gauges it came with? Cover, Gold Key?

I have a 2006 CVO Streetglide

As all the responses have said, the bike you posted a picture of is not a CVO.
It may be a lot of things but a CVO is not one of them.
Makes me wonder if the sales paperwork reads that the bike is a CVO.
I'm betting not, probably just an slick salesperson saying what he felt he needed to say to close a sale.

I would say this is what your bike looked like at one tiime and the empoyee did a switch out for the fairing.  Still it is a great looking bike, don't worry about it unless they marketed it to you as a CVO.

I agree with everybody regarding this not being a CVO bike. I had a 2006 Street Glide--the first year for the Street Glide.

I upgraded the tranny to the Screaming Eagle 6 speed before it left the dealer. The tranny was $1,895 without the complete case.  The SE 6 speed is geared the same as the stock 5 speeds and the 6th gear is .087:1  i/e a overdrive gear for touring. Nice!!

The limited paint sets had the option like the stock ones to have color coordinated fairings, lowers and tourpaks. So I think the prior owner just bought them painted.

Enjoy the bike it is one of a kind!!!
