FinallyPictures Showing New Exhaust and Saddlebags
« on: March 12, 2006, 06:56:29 PM »

I finally got my detachable hardware in and got my saddlebags attached. Then after a nice 200+ mile ride today I captured a couple of good pictures of the bike while the sun was behind the clouds, so no bad glare on the chrome. The exhaust are HD's SE 16 gauge double barrel's. The saddlebags are a set of brand new still in the box Bad Boy bags from about the mid 90's I think. I found them on ebay, a cycle shop in NY had them for sell there. I attached them using cycle visions bare back detachable hardware. Seems to be a great set up, easy on and off. Only thing is I can't use the bags with the stock seat. But them mostly when I will have the bags on will be for very long rides. Then I will be using the Corbin Gunfighter seat that you see on the bike in these pictures. So far I'm liking everything very very good. :) Sandy

Sandy, looks great, but i expected the bags to be much larger than that, the boss bags you were advocating in an earlier thread are HUGE in comparison. those bags cant be any bigger that the Harley 53061-00A bags. it even looks like those bags would work with the stock exaust. Those bossbags are nice bags, but IMOP they are way too big for the fatboy,
maybe for on a Heritage they would look good. Thanks for Sharing your photos though  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I think that is one sweet ride; easy on the eyes and polished to boot. Nice work.

Thanks, I don't believe in adding enough to a bike that it overwhelms the bikes good looks. Keep it simple and follow the clean looks of the bike yet stay functional. :) Sandy

Thanks, just wish the bags would work with the stock seat. I have added a gel pad inside and it seems to be much better now. Guess I'll just use it when not doing a long tour ride. :) Sandy

Thanks a bunch. Now to go get that chrome inter primary. I think that will help the left side to look much nicer. :) Sandy

If you're doing the inner, you may want to look at adding the chain tensioner while you've got it apart.

Gunfighter looks awesome!!! It really flows with the lines of the bike.I see that you can add a rider backrest wich is great. How comfy is it?Can you ride long distance?
It doesnt look factory is that a corbin?
Well a touch of a lady is also workin for bikes.Your scoot is one of the classiest here.
Enjoy!!!!!
