Maybe they bumped it to see if anyone was paying attention :o

Years ago, when returning to my car after a round of golf, I saw to guys on a motorcycle cruising through the parking lot of a remote golf course.

My alarm has proven to be remarkably effective at catching me starting or moving my bike.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

majicl1,
Good point never thought of that. Did seem odd that they would get that close to the bike to nudge it with door accidentally. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Perhaps this was there excuse/way of seeing if the bike did have an alarm, and if someone would respond to it going off. This is reason enough to use the alarm, and add the paging system to it. Hopefully the new paging system the MoCo offers will be better then the old one, had the old one on my bike, and transmitter didn't last two years before it died. >:(

Did you check the bag good if you hit them that hard you will probably end up with whats called spider webbing (small cracks) around the mounting holes,  just something to check.

Anyone ever come across one of the proximity alarms?? Several years ago I walked passed a very nice Vette, and the car told me to back away from the vehicle! I would love to have one of those on mine.

If I remember coreectly, the Thunderpage I had on my 01 Ultra had the option of a proximity alarm; except it would chirp if somebody got too close.  Since they make the HD unit, you should be able to plug and play.  My paging unit lasted the 5 years I had the bike.  They have pretty good customer service as well.  My central unit quit when I was in Fairbanks, called them, they told me how to disable the unit so I could get it home.  Then they shipped me a replacement unit once I was home.

Dude, Trust me don't go there! they are really really focking annoying, they will go off all the time, and if someone parks close to you, the frickin thing will never shut up, and if you go to some sort of bike event with lots of bikes parked together and people coming and going it will be a big drain on your battery, and it just might piss someone off enough to take out some pent up hostility on your prize possession. your better off with the new HD pager and a glock in your boot, IMHO

I appreciate the input on that. I wasn't even thinking about that. Oh I can see the problems there!
