Had a minebeast put on in Myrtle Beach for $145 instaled.Stock horn drowned on the ride down& didn't dare ride home with no horn.Think if I had time to shop arround I would have gone with the BJs but would have to see them in person.Horn is LOUD,but the deer on the Blueridge PkW.didn't seem to care. Was kind of disapointed they didn't have any reaction to it.At least the cagers can hear it. [highlight]RJOBs looks better with the SEE logo on it[/highlight].

It is now a year since I installed the mini beast and it has come apart.

The rivet that holds the cover to the horn has broken and the mounting bracket is cracking at the cover bend.

Called Pro-Pad the supplier and they said simply mail it to them and they'll get me a new one.

If you have one, make sure you filled out your warranty card and mailed it.

Now that it's apart though, I noted it is a Nautilus by STEBEL.

Wow, you put yours on all in one piece without actually ripping it to shreds and cutting hunks off of it.  Chit, no wonder it failed  ;D [smiley=drink.gif] ;D !

Wow...the Stebel costs about $35.00...the Mini Beast about $110.00.  They sure are proud of that chrome cover that they put over the Stebel horn.

Wow Rjob749,
Sorry to hear about your problem with your Mini beast air horn.

Makes me nervious since I just got one this week from Pro Pad and plan to install it Saturday.  [smiley=nervous.gif]

I wonder if anyone else has had a failure on theirs?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
I hope I got one of the upgraded horns. [smiley=confused5.gif]

Thanks for the info Rjob749,
I do have a black bracket on the back side of my horn which I don't see in your pictures.
Sorry I do not have a camera so I can't post a photo of the back for you.

They are replacing mine on the one year warranty with my receipt, but the first thing she asked was if I turned in my warranty card.  Thought I did, but she didn't have it.

Keep your records and send the card and you should be set.  The only way you would have seen this was broken would have been to take it of or work on it until the bracket would have failed.  Now I'll be checking it each time I wash the bike.
