well, thanks to all this great info, i picked up an IPOD NANO gen4 16gb with camera, and FM radio on Craigslist this evening for $60 bucks ... im very please with the deal ... works great, but me thinks this Itunes application is a little confusing ... i did get some songs down loaded to the ipod, but can figure out how to creat folders .. oh well, i will see if the neighbor can spare their 10 year old to show me .. hahahah
so, im good to go except waiting for the ipod adapter to install in the SEEG ... perhaps it will be here by the weekend ...
Thanks for all the feedback ...

I just bought the new mini square iPod nano 16gb. I have two other iPods that I've use without issues on the AUX radio input and then on the iPod interface module. The old one is a 40gb classic and the newer one of the two is a 160gb classic. Both functioned great using either interface methods.
The new mini nano works great as well. On my SERG I just ran the plug end of the cable into my right side fairing glove box. I do like the nano the best.
If you just load a CD and click import, iTunes does the rest.
To create a playlist, click the little + at the lower left of your sceen and name it what you want that playlist to be called.
The problem I have on the iPod 160 classic is that I have 300 playlists and scrolling through them is a real drag. I recommend you limit the number of playlists so you can scro quicker from the HK soft touch buttons while you're riding. I have that many because I have all the major artists listed as playlists with their greatest hits at a minimum in each playlist.
The major issue I have with iTunes is how terribly slow it is. It takes maybe 10 seconds to scroll with my mouse sometimes and just stalls other times. I have about 400gb of music in iTunes and I think that has a lot to do with the speed of the program.
But 20 CD's you should have no big problems.
Good luck with your new toy.
