I have wondered about the extra oil pressure from Fueling and the many other oil pumps that are available not to mention relief valve springs putting extra tension on the chains. This would be good for valve timing accuracy but makes me wonder how much affect the extra pressure has on the hyd. actuator.

Every time I find a tensioner with a chunk out of it - it's yours.  You can put the $30 damaged part in your or someone else's motor.

Reusing cheap parts that are already out in your hand makes as much sense as trying to impress your date by taking her through the corkscrew at Laguna Seca in a white dress with an open soda.

you  know,  i changed cams in my 09 ultra  4 times this year 28,000  miles never changed tensioners, dont plan on it i havent any grooves, and i know my valve train takes a beating,  you must be doing something not good, on my 07 ultra had 60,000 miles didnt have to change them either and i have a pretty good performance build  on  both bikes. as i said earlier those pics dont look bad at all,   the older ones really sucked  these new hyd. ones are a great improvement,ive had 12 twinn cams  i should know,   by the way where do you buy your gaskets at?  im going to buy their stock, time to make some money on you

im just saying compared to the older ones your crying inst warranted, now if there was a wide groove  then id say yes,  you have normal  wear not bad at all.  stop whining put it back together ride 50 miles and tear it down again  and cry again , buy more gaskets   its funny
