Patriot Guard
« on: November 12, 2010, 12:11:55 PM »

Are there any Patriot Guard Riders on the forum? I've been reading their forum lately and even though I have never served in our military, my father, uncles, brother, nephew and many friends have, I have the highest respect for their sacrifice and the fact that there are idiots out there that will disrespect the death and a funeral of a fallen soldier and his/her family f@#king boggles my mind.

What have been your experiences been with the Patriot Guard? Neg. and or Pos.

Thanks,

roly

The Patriot Guard is a great organization.
I have attended many missions.
So many times as I stand in line I have been thanked for being there.
My answer is always the same, It is an honor to stand for those who have stood for us!
For me it's all about respect.
So many people don't realize that freedom isn't free, there are many who have paid the ultimate cost to ensure our freedom.
Standing for them is the least I can do.

Even if you feel you cannot become a member, everyone should make a mission when they can. DUTY, HONOR, COUNTRY.

The Phelps bunch is supposed to be in McAlester, OK to protest a soldier's funeral tomorrow (11/13).  I plan to be there, and let those Phelps A-Holes listen to a CVO 103 rumble.

I think you will find many members here, I have made many missions hot or cold, dry or wet. There is nothing more honorable you can do with your bike.  :2vrolijk_21:

My wife and I have been PGR since the first month they started (Nov 05).  I am also a Ride Captain in Indiana.  Great group, great people.  Very humbling to attend a funeral for a KIA and have the family thank US for being there !   I am not a Vet but that doesn't matter to the PGR.

Here is a link to a 12 minute video about the PGR.  This helps describe why we do what we do.

http://lifeofduty.tv/#/home/VideoModule/141

It will probably cause some BES (blurry eye syndrom).

Thanks to all the PGR members out there for all that you do !!
