On previous bikes, I usually sold the takeoff parts, because I don't want stuff sitting around the garage just so I can pass them down to the eventual next owner, plus selling them offsets some of the cost of the new parts.
But, I think it's different with the 2009 SERG- really, it was the only year this bike came with a lot of the parts it came with (the 2000, 2001, and 2011's are not exactly the same bike), so I wonder if I should hang on to the stuff?
It hasn't been an issue so far- all I have for take off parts is the stock Ventilator A/C, catless headpipe, windshield, seat, and I already sold the stock rear shocks, as they aren't unique to just the SERG.
But, come spring time, the stock handlebars, and possibly the stock cans with Fullsac baffles might also be taking up space on the shelf.....
So what does everyone think? Since our CVO's do have a lot of one-off parts, is it better to hang on to the stuff, or sell it?
