Really, I have a Heritage Softtail also and I think it's a PITA to have to go to 2 different locks to lock the forks and ignition. Guess we all have our things to bare.

I figured out locking all the ignition, bags and tourpak was a PITA after seeing my brothers '06 Wing, frickin remote lock/unlock for the bags and tourpak, he can also pop the tourpak like you would the trunk on a car....sets the bike alarm also.....I still like my SEUC better. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Wings are great bikes but they just don't have character.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

That would be very cool.  Of course you can do that kind of thing when the tour pak and bags are more integrated like they are on the wings (that's a nice way of saying ours just hang there).  Would be slick though to reach for the accessory switch and have the lids pop.

Even remember seeing some aftermarket remote control saddlebag lid setup.  Don't remember what but something about it struck me as hinky.  That's been awhile back though so just don't remember what it was.

With the size of the trim piece around the tourpak lock on these CUSE's, it looks like there's more than enough room for an actuator.  The saddle bags would take an entire rework of the current latching mechanism, so we won't see those anytime soon.  Some quick witted aftermarket company will work something up for the tourpak.

I think we have more storage than the Wing,

I always assumed the same thing (more storage on our bikes) until one day I watched a Wing go the market.  More accurately watched a Winger come out of the market with a shopping cart carrying those little plastic bags full of groceries.  He started opening up compartments on that bike and sticking stuff in places I didn't even know were places.  When he'd got done loading his groceries I was sure he'd stuck more stuff in that bike than I'd ever fit in mine.

OK, I asked the service manager to look into the fork lock problem...he did a quick look and noticed something...

...this one may be owner induced...I put an inspection plate on the front tank bolts that may be interfering...when I pick up the bike, I will remove and test.   [smiley=blush.gif]

Fork lock still a problem...not the fault of the sticker plate that I had installed up there!
