And dealer cost of the SE compensator is $174.95.

So the dealer ends up with the warranty stock compensator which sells for $148.00 plus your $140.00 in exchange for the SE compensator that cost them $174.95..... ???

Plus the labor paid to the dealer for the installation of the new comp.

We charge the customer only the $101.00 difference between the two. not all dealers are the same. I've heard some charging the full tilt on the se and charging the full labor to warranty or ESP.

Motorman says kickback caused from a perfect storm in programing where certain things get turned on out off wack. Causing the missfire kickback. We put cams and T-max 2010 doesn't have that problem 07 did.     jdo

After 20 months and many, many attempts to fix my starting problem the dealer installed a new clutch "3rd one" along with many other parts and finally a new CVO compensator. I hope this fixes the problem. Wont know for a while due to the cold riding weather. All was covered under warranty.

I have a new se compensator, was just going to change it out in my 2009, Dummy me i forget the bike comes with warranty.
but i traded the bike on a new 2011SE, so now i have the compensator, 255 cams and pushtubs and the covers
not sure if the dealer will take them bike.

I think warranty is OK but it's a big inconvenience  where i would rather just fix it myself :)

Well I picked up the bike yesterday...no problems so far and from what I've been reading on this forum, I don't expect any.

Looks like I won't be riding for a while.  The weather looks pretty bad here in GA for the foreseeable future...big storm heading our way and the bottom just fell out on the thermometer.  This state isn't equipped for snow and ice so the next few days should be interesting.

My warranty is up in April as well and I'll definitely buy the ESP before then.

Remember, you can get 20/25% off the ESP warranty. It's been posted
here many times. Good luck!
