Hey Aero8.

You are asking the same question i did just before i got my ride too. HDNIK (Nick S.) helped me out and now it is my turn to return the favour. So since i have been down this road recently here we go.

The 2 dark envelope lights must be bought from the HD stealer. They cost $600.00 CAN. Which i got here in Toronto. In the U.S. they sell between $160.00 and $180.00 each. It was too much trouble to get them from a US dealer so i sucked it up and got them from here.

BADLANDS sells a really nice LED SMOKED lens 3rd brake light.(RADLD-S-NW) It has 139 LEDs and is very bright. It also complements the LED envelope lights nicely. 2 screws and plugs into the socket of the light bulb. If you are going to keep your licence plate light order the tail light WITHOUT the clear lens to light up the plate.

The turn signals are that. Turn signals. There is a plug and play module made by BADLANDS. It takes less than 10 min. to install into the origanal harness. What the module does is amazing. 3 running lights at all times and 3 brake lights when brakes applied. Touch the turn signal button and maintain turn signal function while the other 2 lights remain running or braking. The amount of light that all 3 lights put out is very visable which is what i wanted for those dark nights. The total cost for the module and light was $306.61 CAN. The module is $124.99 the light is $100.00 plus $60.00 labour to set up module and shipping. That is about half in EURO....lol.

Note that the module can be set up by Badlands to light up in different ways. So since HDNIK was the Ginny pig when i called to get mine they had the spec on file of how Nick did it and they made the same one for me. I just had to confirm that the wiring was the same as a 2010 (which it is) and the ordering process took less than 10 min. on the phone. If you are interested call BADLANDS at (775)-359-4450 and ask for Dan or email him dan@badlandsmotorcycleproducts.com. Just tell Dan you want the same set up as Nick and Mano in Toronto, Canada.

YES I know............ :worthless:. I will post some soon.

Hey Doc,

I am not sure if fulmars setup would work for me since I'd have to have someone remove the stock baffles and install the fullsacs. Not sure if I can find a technician to do it for me. Plus I am not sure the fullsacs have a map in the SEPRT. Any thoughts?

If you put the Fullsac headers on yourself and then add the 4" Rinhart slip-ons, then you won't have to worry about the stock pipes or the cat. It's called a stealth stage one for that reason. the headers use the stock heat shields and don't look any different. The RH slip-ons look almost identical to the stock muffs as well. It's the tuner and dyno that will need to be sorted out by someone else.

Here's a pic... like Mano and "Lastdegree" said; Dan or Rick at Badlands have it figured out. Another important note... their module regulates the voltage for the LED's without the use of resisters... ie no heat build up! Also I had the same Kury LED tailamp that "Glenpick" has at first... it's total CRAP compared to the Badlands unit and caused flickering issues in the signals. Spend the extra $100 bucks with Badlands on the Tailamp... I'd offer you the Kury I have in a box, but would rather make it an ashtray than do that to you!

Very Odd as mine works fine - no issues at all. Maybe you caught a dud unit?
Cheers
Glen.

Sorry, Glen I wasn't clear... but here was my experience and it soured me on Kury all together.

Actually mine was fine as well when used as a brake lamp only. It seemed dim compared to the incandescent bulb in the OEM lamp, but it was OK. It wasn't until I tried to incorporate the run/brake/turn module that the real issues arose. I almost tore the bike apart trying to figure out what was wrong. Naturally I figured it was the Badlands module. When I called them they suggested the Kury lamp may be the issue, but i didn't believe them at first. After a couple weeks, numerous posts on this site and many calls to Badlands, Rick made me a deal.... he said he'd send me a new lamp free and if it didn't fix the problem he'd pay to have it shipped back to him... and if it worked, he'd bill me.

Once I got his unit I saw the difference in construction. The the back of the board on the Kury unit looked like it was siliconed by hand with a tube of clear silicone and compared to the Badland lamp... cheap! Even the Lens on the the Badland Lamp was thicker, clearer and more like crystal. More importantly the LED's in the Badlands unit will almost rip your retnas out when you hit the brakes. (I would admit though that the Kury lamp protrudes about 1/2" less)

As it turned out I installed the Badland unit and the problem was solved! Simple as that. I guess the chinese circuit board Kury used couldn't deal with the voltage regulation.

Maybe I did get a bad one... or maybe you got a good one... but for the same money... I wouldn't take the chance (actually I think the Kury was actually more $$)

Dear HDNIK
Thanks for the picture and the info. This was very helpful and I have now an impression how it looks.
Do you have a picture from a side angle to see how big the taillight is?? Do you have a picture when the lights are on ( when braking or turning light is activated)? Would be nice!!

Am i right when I assume that when riding the bike all three lights are on and when you brake all three lights are even brighter and they work like a standard taillight, so they are red when brakes are applied??
Sorry for the maybe stupid question but we have also stupid regulations here I have to fullfill.

Here's a pic with all 3 lamps to compare. Sorry no pics lit up. Yes you are correct. All 3 lamps glow red when riding, all 3 lamps go very bright red when stopping and of course the signals flash bright when turning
