Brian, whenever you see this here's another question.  There's been more chatter about the documented install and your product by some of us on the phone this weekend than there's been here.

Two of the guys that have called had bikes that were pre-04 and have seen that there is no pre-04 model year part number on the product page of your site.  What else besides the ECM would have to be updated on an 02 or 03 touring bike to make it ready for your package?

We have been working on them (pre '04 Delphi) and are actually close but, and without getting too in-depth, there are some nuances with the bikes themselves that are different and can pose some irritation to the customers.  Not harmful, but irritating.  It's not as easy as just swapping to a later model ECU.  We have them running and running well but there are just a couple of tweaks that have to be made and we didn't want to release them and then have to make excuses for these things.  To be honest, our order is to release the '11's in short order and then finish up the pre '04's (hopefully by Daytona) and then prepare to transition into the '12's in the fall.

Thanks,

Brian

Thanks Brian.  I'd grabbed schematics for an 02 and an 05 and compared part numbers on the sensor suite.  What I'm guessing are causing these subtle differences show up in the comparisons.  Good to know the pool that can take adantage of the product is yet to be expanded.

If you really want a headache how about this?  Something this good that's bundled in a package that would bolt a newer throttle body with dual fuel rails and a new ECM in a Marelli form factor to make the old bikes happy?  Hey, a guy can dream can't he :huepfenlol2: ?

Back in the vendor section it's mentioned.  Just tell them you're from CVO when you call.  Jim (HD-Dude) is one of their vendors and discounts to us also.  The parts are in the Drag book so the stores that discount Drag numbers are options also.  RevPerf or Jim have to strong considerations though.  If someone runs in to a hiccough you know you can call either one for help.

I ordered through Jenni this morning.. The famous 20% discount still there   :2vrolijk_21:

Not all shops will be able to live with the small margin that Jenni does.  But even paying a few points more the gains here are worth it.  Can't buy a SERT or a TMAX or a TTS and couple that purchase with a good dyno tune for what EMS costs.  And none of those add capability to the bike like we're gaining here.

Enjoy the new kit.  The initial experience with it for me was a lot of fun.

Was asked in PM if the EMS kit comes "complete." Or if anything else besides a few hand tools were needed to complete the install.  Started to answer that the kit is complete and that nothing else is needed so long as you've already got o2 bungs in your exhaust pipes.  Then realized that wasn't absolutely correct.

While you are anxiously waiting for the package to arrive from Revolution Performance make a trip to the hardware store and get a package of wire ties.  Get them and you're good to go.

Fantastic POST!!!  You guys have really put my mind at ease.......  I just bought one of these units from Jenni earlier this week.  Can not wait.  Thanks for the great write up.  I know that must have taken you a lot of time, but you really relieved my stress level.  I have also talked with Andrew at Rev. Perf. and he was very generous in the amount of time he spent with me.

Thanks and glad it was helpful.  Jenni has apparently been selling a lot of these lately.  "Flying out the door" was what she wrote back to another recent purchaser.

Just to give you or anyone else an idea of what you're looking forward to to finish things up now that the parts are ordered; it took about three times as long to prep the pics and post it all on the site than it did to install everything on the bike and do its first run.  In other words nothing to worry about.  Enjoy the install.

Sorry about the delay.  Weekend honey-do's.  You have to upgrade to a "new" '05-Up ECU.  There is not enough "horsepower" in the '04.  These are easily had on Ebay though for deep discounts over new.

Brian

What's the part number of the '05-up ECM?

32534-05 would be a good number to use with the SEEG Brian.  If you're considering this I might be able to help a bit.  Have a 32534-05C module somewhere out in the shop that came off one the local's bike when he went to a Thundermax three years or so ago.

They sell new for around $300 if I remember right.  Then whatever the dealer would charge to do a first flash so it's not blank anymore.  He's said repeatedly he'd sell this one for $150.  If you're in the market I'll try to talk him down some.  Maybe I can convince he owes storage for the drawer space .

Don, definitely considering it. Let me give you a ring sometime to talk once I get a look at those "early" Rineharts of mine.
