in september/october we drove the historic 66 from Arkansas to Flagstaff and then to Las Vegas and San Fransisco; in Flagstaff I hired a Softail Heritage and we (my wife in the rented Grand Cherokee) went to Mexican Hat and stayed in The Mexican Hat Lodge.This was a fabulous place to stay, a Shell gasstation on the other side of the road, a nice room, good rates, nice people and most amazing was the "restaurant", a half open air place with a bar and the famous "jake and the swingin' steaks"; I cannot explain it, you must have experienced it; the best steaks I ever had in the US for only a few bucks, served bij nice and fast working ladies; and good cold beers; we stayed there two weekends; the week in between my wife did a horseback trail in Monument Valley and I did a tour to Moab, Richfield, North Rim, Page, Mex Hat;
