on my 2010 cvo SG, i noticed that when, applying just the rear brake ,i get a vibration, never noticed it until today , bike has 5k miles on it, hd wrench says that is normal , anyone else noticed this?
Not only have I noticed it -- I have posted about it before. Mine was at two different dealers for over 3 weeks, and the techs have felt the problem, but do not know the cause. MINE IS NOT A WARPED ROTOR. I am an auto tech by trade, so I do know what a warped rotor feels like, and this is not the same feeling. My opinion is that it is something in the ABS, like the vibration is a motor vibration that is travelling up through the ABS hoses or the ABS unit where mounted to the frame. I get the vibration when using the rear brake, even when braking when the bike is moving so slow I can hardly balance the bike ( less than 1/2 MPH ). And that is not fast enough to get a rotor vibration that slow on any vehicle, as the vibration is happening several times before the rotor makes one revolution. I feel this vibration every time I pull into my garage and hit the rear brake fairly hard. DO NOT expect Harley to step up to the plate for a fix in the near future. You can probably guess how I already know that. They have REFUSED to deal with this matter on my bike, and they say ----- case closed. For those that say, take it back, it is under warranty ---- two dealers -- one area rep --and the Harley Motor Company refuse to do anything -- S000000000000?

? All work has to be approved by MOCO, and they say they all do that. Sure wish they would put that in the brochure, so we would know about that vibration before we fork over $38,000.00 It is not a safety issue, but it is damn annoying, and this is the first Harley I have had with this problem, but it is also the first Harley I have owned with ABS.
