siiiiiiiiggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh Probably the most true post on this entire website. How I long for the days when stock OEM H-D chrome was the gold standard. And paint too. Iconic products like Harley-Davidsons do not go to hell all at once, it happens chip by chip by chip. H-D has made huge strides in improving the frame geometry, suspension (sort of the same thing) and braking of their product. Now they need to find out why their chrome is cheaper than a Tijuana whore and their paint is a bigger crapshoot than any table in Vegas.

Their chrome and QC have gone to chit.
The OE Chrome over steel seems to still be fine.
The P&A stuff and accessory stuff on the CVOs is rubbish.
Billet brake lever.. gone to crap.. no copper in the plating.. it is base metal aluminum, nickle, chrome. Copper is non-existant. Billet shift levers... one has fared pretty well, the other is crap... the one that went bad was the rear, the one subject to less exposure.
Chrome fork legs, near fender mounts.. peeling, again, no copper in the plating.
Rumble collection mirrors: JUNK! Rumble collection saddlebag latches: Not as JUNK, but still bad... one side anyway... QC issues.
Blade wheels.. EXCELLENT.. of course, ALCOA probably finishes the wheels before HD takes them.
And in Hawaii, HD claims the environment is too harsh and will not cover chrome issues.
