Hi mates,

I have '09 FXDFSE 110" here in Finland which means it is an European standard CVO. I am planning to make some modifications for the next riding season. Sure, these are very normal modifications.

1. I need to change the factory oval shaped filter for SE Heavy Breather filter (29299-08).
2. I will try to find those SE Exhausts for Fat Bob, the first generation if possible (80674-08).
3. Reprogram EFI with TTS Mastertune.

Here are my questions guys.

1. Does any of you have those first generation SE mufflers to sell? (mint condition)
2. Have any of you taken the Cat -stuff out of 2-1-2? Is it worth of to do?
3. Could I find somewhere the "ready" map for TTS Mastertune for this exact combination to start with?

Respectfully,

I got rid of my cat the hard way - really beasty work even with the best of tools. But it was worth it, the improvement in mid-range torque and the cooler running engine.

Steve can offer you an easier way: his x-pipes. A friend just installed them and he's really happy. But I don't know if they will fit your Dyna, just ask Steve.

Thanks Kraut,

I already sent a message to Steve but I am not very confident that they have any pipes for Dynas. They seems to concentrate for baggers only. But we'll see.

Hi Kraut,

I got the message from Steve and like I thought he has only pipes for baggers but still got some good advice and nice offer about TTS MT. Mainly I am trying to find replacement for the original pipes with the same shape to fit those original heat shields. My target is to keep the original look but to improve the performance and make it cooler.

Regards,

So you probably need to buy a V&H header or core the catalytic converter yourself the way that Kraut did it. Here is a link to a discussion on drilling out the converter.

I tried drilling out the cat, melted the tips right of of the coring bit. lol Plus it doesn't get all of it out. I ended up taking off the pipe, cutting it in half near the cat and air chisling it out and then welded it back together.

Is it because of the bike european that it has a cat?  The cats stwere but on in 2010 and only touring bikes. Just asking.  :nixweiss:
