Went to Walmart and bought one of these. My wife uses it all the time, and on long rides I carry it in case my fanny starts complaining.

I think it was $20...

Why in the world would you spend $20 at WalMart for something you can get for $100 at a bike show? :mango:

I have the expensive one too (Butt Buffer? Something like that). Momma says the Walmart pad is more comfortable. Go figure...

I guess I'm the only one here who is not completely enamored with the AirHawk. I took it on a 7 day trip with my wife last July. We'd swap off with it on 400+ mile days. We each had the same experience. Without the pad, we could ride for about an hour and a half before we started getting sore. The AirHawk only extended that period by about 30 minutes. Our conclusion was that the AirHawk is not a substitute for a good seat. And yes, we used it properly by deflating most of the air to the point where you're almost touching the seat.

I have found it works better for me when inflated a little more.

Yeah, tried that too. Still the same. If I hadn't said I used it nearly deflated, there would have been five other people saying I should. The Airhawk does help, but not much.

You know, its just a shame all the money we spend on seats and sill find ourselves looking for something more comfortable! >:(
I am in the same boat as I am 6'4 and tip the scales at well over 300.
Haven't put any miles on new bike as its still in the shop, but really hoping the 2011 seat is better.
Just say-in.
