When I changed from my 01 Ultra to the 06 CUSE, Progressive told me it was less than a $10 difference.  Then they said they don't waste postage on that small a bill, so the difference was on them!!! [smiley=banana.gif] [smiley=jalapeno.gif]

I'm with State Farm...car discount, and homeowners.  I haven't got the bike yet, but they quoted me approx $50 a month for full coverage.

I have my cars through Progressive...they quoted me over $1200 per year for the 2006 CUSE..I went and talked with Farmers Insurance Group. Same coverage......$350 per year......I have heard that Progressive is among the most expensive in the industry. JMHO

In my experience, Progressive is competitive initially to get your business, then they nail you with a big increase (no claims, violations, or any other negative factors involved).

In my experience you really have to shop around.  I've had several - Dairyland, Progressive, American Modern and all were good but ultimately at some renewal they get way out of line.  On my new 'CUSE I went with Foremost.  250/500/100 liability; collision & comp, 250 deductible with actual cash value limit; $3,500 in optional equipment; includes roadside assistance & towing for $344 per year.  Provides replacement cost coverage for two years on bikes purchased new and insured with them within 30 days.  I live in West TN.  Clean driving record and the discount for having taken an MSF course was substantial.  Suggest whomever you go with you'll find the discount for having taken an MSF course significant, and it is good for 3 years. I'm in South Dakota, just got mine with IMT.  $316 per year for 100/300 liability and $500 deduct on the comp & collision.  No medical.  Added to my $1M umbrella for $40 a year.  I have my home and other vehicles with them also.  I thought it was a heck of a deal.

I've always been happy with Progressive. $640/year for good comprehensive coverage. I live in South Texas and have a good driving record. Free towing is included, which I used once - it was easy. I shop around about every year or so and have always gone with Progressive for the bike only.

In MA, the WORST state for insurance...where Geico and Progressive don't even attempt to enter the market.

For:
2006 FLHTCUSE
2003 FXSTDSE
1986 Honda Rebel

$3,344.76 this year....$1000 Deductible, Full Collision and Comprehensive on the HDs, 300K Liability.

In Illinois with Formost $1132.00 per year for 2002 RK and 2006 SEUC combined. I don't consider it bad, But given the replacement cost difference, I can't figure out why the split on them is almost even?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]
