Neal, I've tried the leather and vinyl repair kits from the parts stores a few times.  Could be my own lack of skill with such things.  But I never could create a repair that was even close to seamless.  Always badly obvious.

On the rare occasion I've needed something repaired that needed to be done well and look good I don't even try to do it myself.  Call a local auto dealer's service center.  They have it happen with new cars.  Unavoidable when families do test drives.  Ask the dealer who they have do repairs.  Most of those services go to the dealership as a mobile repair.  But you could still take the saddle to them.

I agree with Don, I tried the do it yourself kit and it is a very temporary fix... save yourself the additional stress and bring it to a pro to see what they can do.

Yeah, see if you can talk either Q or Twolane out of their stock 02 SERK seat. So far as I know, that's the only model H-D ever made with a real Stingray insert.

Don't believe it was the stock seat.... If it's the one he's had on the bike for a while it's heated... Sunray I believe. :nixweiss:

Agree! I put a 1/2 slice in my old RKC seat right after I bought it. I used super glue and it didn't leave a seam but did leave a little shiny place. However if that happened on my CVO I would seek help from a professional repairman for upholstery.
