No, not as of yet, have been considering it since sturgis. We saw them (FBI) out there and the bikes they had done WOW they were very cool.
I beleive they are located in Iowa. Seemed like a good group of people. The owner of FBI is also I guess the owner of several Harley dealerships. There display and semi truck at Sturgis represented nothing but highend  and quality. I live in Illinois and about 4 hours from thier shop, they said turn around would be about 6 hours or so to do the job and around 5000 or there about. Still thinking about it, Ken

They have a nice look for sure. The softails I rode with the 200's in the back were pretty sluggish in the twisties, but sure had good straight line grip.  I think a 180 would be as wide as I'd ever go.  The Fat baggers kit for a 2007 is $4699 installed including the wheel , add another $1699 for the front

When I talked to them at Biketoberfest they quoted me 12 hours to do the job.   I would double check with them on the labor :)   I was considering doing this to my roadking and I was also going to need an extended rod for the Baker Tranny.

I really liked the look / the setup and the quality of the parts they were putting on other peoples bikes.   I got to see one completely torn down and going back together.

The only issue is matching your paint or getting paint done if you do it spur of the moment.

Harry, If you get it done at a rally they have standard colors in stock. If you have a CVO or other special paint color you need to make arrangements with them before the rally so they will have it with them.
I have their kit on a 2002 flht. All parts were top quality. They now have the trans shaft for about every trans made. My biggest problem was that Performance Machine sent me the wrong hub kit "they sent onee for fat baggers competitor" and I had one heck of a time getting them to send me the right hub. 4 months.
Can't tell you how your bike will handle because I also raked the front end 7.5 degrees which changed the characteristic of the bike completely. I can tell you that the raked front end feels better than stock. I did the front end before the rear.
Spiderman, this is my bar hopper. I love bags too much to buy a choper and I could not see spending even half of what Chip has in his bike when around here they will pull you just because you are on a bike

So for 44 big ones you get all the whistles and bells AND a bike titled as a Street Glide that has a book value of 18K. 44 in a bike that your insurance company says is worth 18 if it's totaled or stolen.

 [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I agree with the book value being that of a Street Glide, but there are insurance companies that will cover the actual cost of the bike to include options and accessories. The premiums are no higher than for the bike with a $44k book value. The book value only matters when you are selling it to someone who requires bank financing to make the purchase.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Hogasm,
Did you cut the neck off & reweld it for your rake job or use raked triple trees?
Did you use over size fork legs as well?

Cheers

Aussie, you dont have to cut the neck completely through as long as you are not stretching the neck. You start the cut right where the downtubes tie into the neck and cut  upward toward the top of the frame. We used lasers to make sure the frame stayed straight. We had the frame on a scissor lift, after cutting the neck we lowered the jack and the frame will bend on it's own. When the correct rake is achieved, fill in the gap, Approximately 1.25" at the bottom to nothing at the top, and WELD carefully as to not distort the neck. Stock trees. This changes the rake and trail very little and the bike feels great.
I took the stock forks from my wifes Street Glide, so the front end is stock length. 21"x 3.25    120 front rim/tire.    Rear is 11.5" progress shocks. This makes the bike sit even eith stock, just 2" lower. Looks sweet [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
We are making all new sheetmetal. Tank is raised 1.5" so the bottom is just below the fame and stretching it to the side covers. It looks alot like Chips Fronteer just will have about $30000 less in it when done.
Hope I answered your questions. Will try to post some pics.

Good answer John.

Here's a story,

The 2 03's I have were insured thru Progressive for $1,100.00 per year for full coverage on both bikes combined.
I added the Frontier at full coverage and the yearly premium shot to [highlight]$12,900.00[/highlight].
No chit, that was $12,900.00.
After CPR from Nancy I asked her to call Progressive.
No luck, premiums down to $8,700.00.
As head insurance compliance officer of the Wachovia Corporation I figured if anyone could get a good rate she could.
Turns out the problem was my bike was the first of it's kind anywhere and no one wanted to insure it.
Enter Foremost, the agent Nancy talked with actually called Thunder Mountain to get the info on the bike. Three days later I was down to $1,800.00.
It pays to shop!
